While I can't speak for the quality of the game (having not yet played it), I do find the FFVII spinoffs to be getting a bit annoying. I'm in the minority, but I just never really thought FFVII was that great of a game, or at least not worthy of still being a source of spinoffs after this much time.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

I started thinking that about the game early on, but it seemed (to me at least) to get better and better as it went along. It ties in perfectly with the original FF7, and is one of the better FF7 spin-off's yet produced!

Currently playing it through again New game + hard mode :3

I haven't been abe to put it down either. It has the right combination of action and RPG that makes it fun. I've actually stalled a bit though as I've been doing almost nothing but missions getting my level up and trying to get that completion ratio up. ;)

Definitely going to do a New Game+ after this and I might even put it in hard mode. ;)

I've been hearing amazing thing after amazing thing about this. Penny arcade said the only probelm they had was that they couldn't find bad to make fun of.

I'm gonna go sell my body for money so I can buy this. It might take a while.
