I can't believe we don't have a thread for this already.
The game came out well over a week ago and I must say, despite some issues with AI button reading, this is how you do an FF fighting game. The ifghting is similar to Advent Children-style fighting and each character is made unique so that each char isn't necessarily better than all others. It comes down to choice and playstyle. Zidane and Cecil are my favorites to use and I have heard that there are many a fanboy out there who stick to Squall, Cloud, or Sephiroth just because they think those characters = the best.
You start out with the ten hereos and as you go along, you can use point to unlock the villains an other features that further unlock the game. You can even go back through and get things you missed and you're often encouraged to do so. QUickplays also allow you to fight enemy opponents to increase your lvls, or collect items. Some items are especially difficult to get.
And there is even an online mode though often playing it results in disconnections which can become mroe than frustrating. just remember that if there is a disconneciton, they arne't quitting out of fear of losing. They joined with the intent to play and i's probably more frustrating when it's happening to them. Perhaps the msot frustrating thing about it is that you have to create a second PS3 account wiht japanese settings just so you can access the japanese PStore. And then, like some software, you gotta figure out how to use it. but once you figure it out, it's easy.

I have this, but it's still sealed in package, guess I'll break it sometime and see for myself. Why do you need a PS3 account for online features for this game?

You need a PS3 to play online ebcause Sony is lame and won't provide a better alternative software yet SquareEnix goes ahead and mentions what you'd need yet isn't available thanks to the pricks at Sony. Basically you need it to get the program Ad-Hoc arty but you need to create a new account with the country being Japan so you can access the Japanese PStore, where you can get the program. Onc eyou have Ad-hoc, you can use your original account to access ad-hoc.

I played the demo and loved it. I loved it so much I still play the demo. You only get Onion Knight, Cecil, Terra, Cloud and Sephiroth playable, but damn it is so fun. Unfortunately, between this, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, and many other games, I have far too many things attempting to steal my hard-earned money away.

I'll try and help you elimanate a choice. Do you have an EBgames that carries Metroid Prime 1 and 2 used? And do you already have Metroid Prime 3?

Yes and no, in that order. But that's not the point. The first two games are given a slight graphical enhancement, and are both give Metroid Prime 3's controls. Likewise, it's all three games on one disc for $50. To buy all three games separate would cost far more.
EDIT: No, upon checking, each game separate would come out to about $3 less. The updated controls would be worth it, though.
