Classics Ironhide

Postby TM Mega-Prime » Thu Jun 14, 2007 5:07 pm

Hi guys! I have an idea for a Classics Ironhide but I need a head. I'm looking for something that could pass for/with mod as a G1 Ironhide cartoon style head. Does anyone have anything that might help me out? The head would have to be about the size of Classic Optimus or Bumblebee's head.

Yeah, E-Inferno works well. I also filed down the chin a bit for mine, but that's kind of optional.

I had no kitbashing experience whatsoever when i made an Ironhide from one of my fanfics,so now he is the battle-damaged version with ugly enamel on his disfigured face.

I'd say RiD Wedge's, but it's a bit small. Energon Tow-line if you want a more angry, elder Ironhide.

First off, what are you planning on making your Ironhide out of? That will better determine what to use as a head. If you're going to use Energon Towline, which is quite common, and probably the closest existing figure to G1 Ironhide, then all you really need to do is resculpt the existing head; in particular, the helmet. That's what I did for mine.

Classics Astrotrain actually looks decent as well with some minor modding.
