Hey guys, i've been searching the archives and the rest of the web looking for information on the target exclusive movie scouts: gunbarrel, backtrack, and decepticon reverb. So far the information is slim to none. I hoping some of y'all might have some info. if anybody has any info regarding how rare these guys are or if their release is coming, please post. Does anybody else have these scouts?

I've been wondering this same thing. Were they canceled (possibly because of the now to be ROTF energon combiners?) I was really looking forward to them, partially in hopes that they had some kind of new combiner planned out.

As far as I knew they where supposed to be released in one of the final waves of the TF Movie 1 line last year.

Apparently they never made it to store aisles.

GunBarrel and Reverb where likely scrapped in favor of the new Combiners that apparently will be released for the ROTF movie.
So the molds will still be obtainable, just in different paint schemes.

Backtrack on the other hand, who knows.
Maybe if they decide to add repainted scouts to the ROTF line later on in its shelf life, he may see a release.

i think it should be noted that these figures are packaged on regular movie cards, not allspark power cards. is this common for waves to be released out of order or was this wave meant to be #4? i could take some pics if neccessary

Since they were slated as Target Exclusives who knows perhaps Target wanted the regular packaging to distinguish them from the general movie line at the time of there release which would have been the All Spark Power sub line.

Or they where simply test shots in regular packaging, and had they really been released, they would have been in All Spark packaging.

Still, this all speculation, since they were never released, and it doesn't appear they will be.

But you can get the molds from the new ROTF: Bruticus box set.

It's true that I can still get the molds when they come out in ROTF packaging (which I'm HIGHLY looking forward too seeing as how I missed them during Energon). However, like I said before the reason I wanted these guys is the possibility of a unique combiner (possibly utilizing limbs from different Energon combiners to create a five-unique robot). Backtrack is just a good mold and it's a shame he didn't get that shiny shiny blue :sad:
