Best AOE Toy so far ?
I wonder what is your favourite TF out of the Age of Extinction movie ?
I'd say Deluxe Generations Scorn. He was not my favourite until I saw him in stores.
The robot and Dino mode look great , and the colour scheme is really cool

+1. Scorn's great, however I can't wait to get Strafe.

Hands down Evasion Mode Optimus- the way he folds up from a small toy to a large one is amazing, and they need to explore this type of transformation more

Re: Best AOE Toy so far ?
Evasion Mode Optimus Prime is my first and only movie toy so far, and I'm rather impressed. Naturally the draw for me was the G1 Freightliner mode; (heh, looking at it, especially from this angle I keep expecting him to transform into Sunbow Prime like in the commercial bumper.)
But he also has a good robot-form -- tall, proportional, poseable.
The transformation is complex but fairly easy after you do it once in both directions. And the light piping is pretty cool on this one. I guess I wish he had a face plate.
Now I kind of want a Galvatron to go with it. What can I say, I like semi-trailer trucks; and there's this.
Q: why was Prime packed with a gun that was clearly made for DOTM Megatron?

2 possibilities:
1) Hasbro knew that collectors wanted that gun for DOTM Megatron, so they threw us a bone.
2) Once we see the movie, it will make sense.

One step changers that ride Chomp and Stomp Grimlock, the magnets in the feet activate him for whatever faction the rider is in (left for Decepticon and right for Autobots).... my kids are going to love it

Right now, I'm lovin' Voyager Hound. Great sculpt, lots of weapons, and a fun transformation.

So far, I'm basically only getting the Dinobots until I see the movie (on the grounds that the Dinobots aren't likely to be mishandled, given that the general purpose of the Dinobots in most continuities is to wreck ****), but most of them are hitting the right spot for me. Like a lot of the people in this thread, I'm thrilled with my Scorn, but leader Grimlock isn't bad, either. And on the simplfied side of things, Power Battler Strafe's spinning gimmick amuses me more than it should.

I'm waiting for the one step changers to go on sale to buy them for my kids. I love the transformation of 1-step Drift. it's like opening a butterfly knife. Very cool.
Voyager Hound and possible the ToysRUs exclusive Strafe may be the only two I buy for myself. Strafe's cape is pretty cool.

Is TRU's Strafe any different from the general release, or are you getting it for the free Swoop mini-con? I was going to wait for the TRU version, but when I saw it in Target I couldn't wait.

For me, it's Leader Class Optimus. He's just the right balance of ease and complexity. Looks good in both modes. Hound's nice, and as far as Dinobots go... Scorn and Slash are the bees knees.
