Been buying from ebay for at least 5 years now. Always got a positive rep(100% out of 51/52, the 52nd got no feedback from this vendor). Though I read in the fine print that the seller doesn't necessarily need to give you feedback but a vendor's rep depends on how much feedback is given to them. So it ain't fair if they got a positive feedback from you and you got zilch.
The item was this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121558307073?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
Received it in near mint condition so no issues but I had to contact the vendor as he did not indicate/include the shipping rates at first so PayPal wasn't able to process the payment. The vendor after two contacts readjusted the costing.
So when I received the item, which was indeed in a near mint condition last February 22 2015, I gave him a positive feedback. Well it's been nearly 3 weeks now and zilch!
Prior to my posting this, I already made several contacts with the vendor. No response. So the most I could remedy the situation as ebay is like shiit when trying to resolve the issue is add an extra post stating that he ain't fair receiving a feedback without reciprocating back.
This is the vendor.

If he wasn't deaf I'd have ordered more from him/her.
Singaporean to be exact! At least the mainland Chinese vendors are more polite and respond back immediately (not to mention their items are top notch and originals).
The Chinese vendors who are all awesome are these guys:

Eh, that's just how it goes. I'd say you're lucky to have gotten as much feedback as you have. I've been using eBay for 12 years, and I've probally only gotten feedback from half of my transactions.

You mean to say I'm lucky?

Btw, though widely infamous for their "re-issue" products, the Chinese vendors I encountered were all stand up. One immediately replaced my undelivered/lost item.

I used to get annoyed by lack of feedback on some ebay transactions but that's just the way it goes. Some people just can't be arsed.
At the end of the day I think its feedback quality over quantity that really counts.

Thanks for the words of advise guys.
Well since that's being the case:
Being fair, concerning this vendor, as one good turn deserves another
swan_hawk
From his listings, it appears all his wares are above board and a few are exclusive originals. By appearances.
He has a 300 (100%) feedback (299 to be exact plus 1 from me)
But selling an item (which happened to me) without adjusting the total cost for PayPal payment first until I had to pm him 2x to fix it either an honest mistake (he's got 300 feedbacks so you'd think his a professional vendor by now)or just he really doesn't want to sell or was forced to.
Not communicating AT all! So in communicating skills...............he's rep should be 0.
Questioning his motives in selling his wares, only he can answer that.
Recommended vendor? Given his awful communication skills? Nope. Too bad because his stuff looks very interesting and the item he shipped to me was near mint.

I think you're expecting too much. You had an issue, it was addressed two days later. Big deal.
And sometimes you don't get feedback left for you as a buyer, just how it goes sometimes. Not the end of the world and really not important once you're above like 10 transactions.

This is my response to the two fellas prior.

I don't see why you're so flustered by my post. Big deal? Expecting too much as a response? Well I've got better responses from a GCS 3 patient over a brick wall. Are you used to how a brick wall answers you back?
To each his own preferences I guess.

These days I only give feedback after the seller, so if they don't give it, they don't get it

Again, advise most appreciated. But to tell you the truth, the feedback is just 2nd tier. How you treat your customer is the root of the matter. You treat me nice, I return back and buy more. Is that expecting too much?
I'll send my money elsewhere to someone who needs it more badly.
On hindsight, I'm kind of not surprised at the action of the vendor as I've dealt with his compatriots a few years back during one of my EMT assignments.

That's not expecting too much at all. If a seller doesn't leave me feedback it's not the end of the world, I just don't do the same. If they are a good seller otherwise I'll still buy from them again if they have something I want. As you say, customer service is what counts.fenrir72 wrote:Arctorro wrote:These days I only give feedback after the seller, so if they don't give it, they don't get it
