I have a few questions. I have been on a buying binge on ebay after rediscovering my childhood love of G1 transformers, and enjoying the film immensely.
Questions:
1) What's the difference between Deluxe and Voyager Class and which is better?
2) I noticed that Bonecrusher came out in Deluxe - why do people here want a "Voyager" version?
3) when is Leader Class Brawl coming out?
4) where is a good place to get the 08 Bumblebee online for the proper retail price (not the $60 that it's going for on ebay)
That's it for now. I think I have got more or less everything I need, except for a Walmart MP Starscream and a Leader Class Brawl. Plus I'm hoping for a Leader Class Starscream.
Pet peeve: alt modes that don't look realistic (eg. Voyager Class Starscream!).
Newbie here.. what's the difference between Voyager and Deluxe? and other Qs

1. Big and Small, some Deluxe looks nicer but Voyager is bigger.
2. He seems as big as Optimus Prime, so he deserves a bigger version.
3. I do not know exactly but I'm guessing late August.
4. Well Big Bad Toy Store has it for a pre-order at $13.99.
Hope that helps

1) What's the difference between Deluxe and Voyager Class and which is better?
Deluxe is smaller than Voyager. In the case of Movie figures. You won't find the same character in both classes.
2) I noticed that Bonecrusher came out in Deluxe - why do people here want a "Voyager" version?
Because he is larger than say Ironhide in the Movie, and we would look better in the larger size class. Instead of as a tiny dinky Deluxe.
3) when is Leader Class Brawl coming out?
Not sure, but be patient he'll come out
4) where is a good place to get the 08 Bumblebee online for the proper retail price (not the $60 that it's going for on ebay)
I suggest you wait, he'll be out in retail soon. And you can get him then.

1. The difference between Deluxe and Voyager is price and size. Deluxe class figures are $9.99 and are usually the most plentiful toys on the shelf. Voyagers cost more, but the toys are much larger. (Well, with the exception of Blackout in bot form.)
2. Probably to keep the movie's scale as much as possible. Plus, he's just that awesome.
3. Not sure offhand, but you can search through the "news" section of the site to find this.
4. Wait for 08 Bumblebee to hit retail stores, he should be showing up sometime between now and the end of Sept (iirc).

Welcome aboard, ajy101! I'm happy to see that you signed up for Seibertron.com. I hope that you are enjoying this website.
Your comment above just made my day. I have been hearing so many saying that they're rediscovering Transformers because of the movie ... I think that's really incredible that people are getting back into the hobby. It's so much fun to collect Transformers.
Deluxe class figures are the $10 figures at stores like Target, Walmart and Toys R Us. They are Hasbro's #1 selling Transformers price point which means the deluxe figures are the most popular. Voyager Class figures are the $20 price points which are larger, generally have more complex transformations and sometimes feature electronics (such as Vector Prime from Transformers Cybertron (2005)). I'm not sure which class is better ... I think it kind of comes down to a figure-by-figure basis.
I think the biggest reason is because of the battle between Optimus and Bonecrusher. In that scene, it appears that Bonecrusher is about the same size as Optimus ... the deluxe figure seems a little lacking compared to the Leader Class Optimus Prime figure.

Not much I need to add here, just wanted to say welcome aboard!
And yeah... I also need a bigger Bonecrusher figure... the deluxe version (which I don't even have yet, thanks alot Toys R Us) is just way to small compared to Optimus.
Oh, look at this, according to the little card in front of the Leader-Class Brawl from Botcon of this year, he'll be out in September, can't wait to get mine!

With a cute little light up turret and missile launchers!

08 Bumblebee has been released in certain parts of the world, so it really should not be that long until he jumps the Pacific.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Size and cost.
As for size, I look over my shoulder at my G1 and Classics figures and Jetfire (a voyager) is at least a head taller than the deluxe figures standing there with him.
Cost would be about $10 difference. Deluxe MSRP is $9.99 while voyager MSRP $19.99.
Which is better though? Buyer preference, I'd say. To use my opinion of the movie toys as an example, I prefer deluxe figures over their larger counterparts. Its a matter of opinion, though.

3) when is Leader Class Brawl coming out?
No clue. Didn't know people wanted a Voyager Bonecrusher, and I haven't heard when Leader Class Brawl's coming.

Hasbrotoyshop.com would have 08 Bumblebee for MSRP plus shipping costs when that one's out, I'd think. If you don't wanna pay shipping, buy at a local store. I usually buy from Wal-Mart, and they usually sell for just a bit under MSRP.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

thanks!
thanks everyone for the answers. I already bought a 08 Bumblebee for $60 on ebay. I know it's crazy, but people are paying more for that. I'm hoping that I might be able to also buy at the store for cheaper to even out my costs.
It's not that I need to get it now, it's just that I don't want to miss out, and I'm not sure whether this one will be purchased like crazy which I'm guessing it will. Who knows how these things turn out!
