Say i cant find Slingshot when it is released, will i be able to use the Takara version on my Hasbro Superion? Will it look weird?

Mold-wise they'd be completely identical, but when it comes to colors, there shouldn't be that many clashes between Hasbro and TakaraTomy.
Just a warning: Quickslinger/Slingshot and Brake-Neck/Wildrider will only be available online as far as we know, no physical locations like brick-and-mortar stores will carry them. Also, United Warriors will only feature complete teams, no loose figures.

apparently the US online order date for Quickslinger (Slingshot's new name for copyright reasons) is the 22nd of May - already available in other places around the world if you're willing to pay a bit more shipping (or like me, buy a bunch of stuff at once - shipping costs to Aus from anywhere sucks.)
I got mine from RK (already sold out there apparently, so back to preorder status) and imo, is a better release than Brake Neck (aka Wildrider)
Some pics if you're interested:

EDIT: Note that I forgot to fix up Alpha Bravo's tail in the alt mode pic and the Autobot badges are the Reprolabels "Holo Glow" stickers that I have the strange compulsion to stick on every figure I can

I am like you here dont really care about Brake Neck, i like Offroad mold. But the helicopter limb feels weird with the other arialbots. I will probably use Alpha Bravo to replace Blades in Defensor. Again dont really care about the repaint.
Only thing is i was hoping they reused Air Raid mold to make Slingshot. I like the way his wings look, both in robot and limb mode.

It may not show, but Air Raid's mold partner is actually Skydive.

Yes, the Takara versions are the same molds. However, takara's going with a super g-1 accurate deco (I'm not a fan) and will also come with white hands/feet instead of black ones. The combiners also can only be bought as a set. I love alpha bravo, so I'm not bothering with slingshot, but I'd suggest you get the hasbro one now before it's too late and you have a mis-matched takara foot/hand.
