Were the yellow / green Combat Hero Megatron and the dark blue / purple Combat Hero / Decepticon version of Optimus released in 1993 alongside the standard color (http://www.cliffbee.com/reviews/images/heroprime.gif)? I have these guys loose and there is 1993 printed on the bottom. I also have the standard red and white hero prime with 1993 printed on the bottom.
I remember getting the red and white Optimus new in the store but I don't remember seeing the the others on the same rack. I figured these were repaints released alongside the normal color. I remember choosing my turquoise green G2 Grimlock in mix of other colors on the rack at a Carefour when they were in the US. My mind went against logic and did not choose the standard grey Grimlock.

The Yellow Hero Megatron was released as Bludgeon in the 2001 Robots in Disguise line. Mold stamping still says '93 on it.
This dark blue Optimus you mention is more intriguing. Not a common thing to have loose and just sitting around, but certainly not impossible.
The unreleased ones were the Grey Megatron and a Dark Blue Optimus Prime. As you can tell by the fact that those linked galleries exist, the toys did make it to the final packaging prototype stage and a limited number are out there. They are, usually, very extremely expensive when they become available.

Ah, OK. I guess they didn't update the mold for these guys. I meant to say black with purple Decepticon symbol for the one resembling Optimus, not blue and purple. I'm guessing I got him in the repaints issued in 2001 as well. Thank you again for your help.

Possibly. If you have a figure which looks like the link you posted, it's probably legit.
The figure looks pretty cool. I would like to see it rereleased
