who is the best transformers plane
I was at my friends house when her five yr old son walked up to me and ask who the best transformer plane of all time was and he said I couldn't say mp starscream, well that stumped me so I thought I would post his question up here and see what kind of answers I got because then I could answer his question.

Either Classics Starscream/Skywarp/Thundercracker, Classics Jetfire, or original G1 Jetfire.

I'd have to say Classics Jetfire at this point in time. The new Dreadwing figure--I could have designed a better robot mode than Hasbro--DRUNK. BTW--in the pic on their website--what's that purple thing between his legs? Have they given homeboy a package or something? What's up w/that??

I'll vote for the underdog and say Movie Starscream. Classic Jetfire is a GREAT jet/figure, but he's a big back heavy. Movie Voyager SS stands very well, and looks really dangerous too.

i'd say G1 Jetfire.
What other airplane TF had snap-on-able body armor? AND looked a lot like the Robotech Line? :>
Depends on what you mean by "Best" though. If you want to go by projectile goodness, i would then say G2 Dreadwind and SmokeJumper.
Or perhaps Star/Victory Saber?
The more i think about this the harder it gets. I should quit while i'm ahead.

G1 Jetfire. No doubt about it. Not only does it look like a killer jet (F-14), it has three modes(so therefore the first
tripple changer), and references the best anime series ever (out of Japan). TF started in America, so there's no conflict of interest here.

G2/RID Dreadwind IMO.
Good looking jet (and the combination with Smokejumper looks good). Nifty multi-shot missile launcher (plus shoulder cannons are cool). Solid and Menacing looking robot (esp. if you give him Smokejumper's missile launchers in his hands too). Even the tank mode doesn't look too bad, so he is a viable triple changer. Yep, gets my vote.

Wow so many answer although the general consense seems to be the orignal g1 jetfire. For me I have always liked the cyclone cycles from macross better than vertech fighter from which the jetfire design comes form.
