I'm not a real collector, but I recently picked up Master Piece Optimus and Megatron. The latest line of Movie Toys hasn't really inspired me to pick one up. For practicalities sake their great for kids, though I know I'd enjoy them as well. They really are well done.
I was really excited about getting Barricade before, but there's something telling me that there will be a much better version to come out in the future. I'd like to see them come out with something in an alternators type figure. I'd love it if they were 1:24 scale! Unfortunatley, the rumor is that Alts are being phased out.
So what do yall think? Looking forward to Movie Alternators? I could see Barricade, Bumble Bee and Jazz being done. AS a side note every time I see a Corvette on the road I can't help, but think that Tracks will be in the sequel. They'd probably make him Hot Rod though.

Unfortunately, it's more than a rumour. Alternators is done.

They are indeed dead and done... and Movie figures will fade sometime after Christmas. Leader Prime's kinda cool and doesn't look too off lined up with the Alts.
Hmm as for the Next Movie... Tracks could be there, Prowl should be there and yeah Hot Rod or Rodimus will probably be in there. I just hope Soundwave gets a break though it would be cool to see a Galvatron Character as well that isn't Megatron.

Cybertooth where did you get Alt Galvatron? That has to be one of the sweetest things I've seen! What do you think about Prowl showing up as a black 65' Mustang Fastback in the sequel?

I'd prefer smaller scale Masterpieces(or Alternators).
1:24 is kinda big when you're collecting a bunch of them.
Maybe 1:32 or 1:48. That way, you'd be able to accomodate the Decepticons in approximately the same scale.
Imagine a Raptor or a Pave-low in 1:24 scale. Whoa! You'd be like carrying a large baby in your arms. Both arms!
