Voyagers ever getting cheaper?
Do you think the voyagers (or any movie figures for that matter) will ever get cheaper? Like way after the movie comes out on dvd or whatnot? I really want some Voyagers... but 20 bucks is kinda pricey to get all of them. thats like 100 bucks for 5 voyagers

As long as there are people like yourself still wanting to get your hands on one, they won't. It's all about supply or demand.
And even if they do get cheaper or go on clearance (which where I am doesn't look to be any time soon!), you can be sure that the mad rush for clearance toys means no guarantee that you will get what you want.
I predict a mad scramble for sales items the same way that scalpers have gotten at BB08. You just don't know if you will luck out or not, unless you have inside information on when it'll happen.
Myself, I'd rather save all the stress and just pre-order. That way I get what I want, and can sleep easy. It's probably no consolation to you, but you guys in the States are getting the cheapest prices for TF toys. There is no markup for shipping and handling, insurance, and other crapola that we have to pay.

20 US Dollar is nothing. I pay like 40 USA Dollar (€30) here in The Netherlands for a Voyager.

I was about to say that
For the record, this is what movie figures cost in the Netherlands:
Real Gear: 14 euros ( $ 16,97 )
Deluxe/FAB: 18 euros ( $ 21,82 )
Voyager: 30 euros ( $ 36,37 )
Leader: 55 euros ( $ 66,68 )
I really hate it when American collectors complain about price increase while your figures are still much cheaper than overseas.

It is 100 bucks.

well i was coutning tax and stuff, and if you want to be so precise, most places are 19.99 - which leaves 5 cents missing from the 100 you proposed.

I'm not sure how anyone can expect price drops or clearances on these toys when they are so early in the release. Not to mention they are selling like hotcakes everywhere. Trust me, Hasbro will milk these movie figures for all they can. We might see some price reductions at the store level around Christmas but I wouldn't expect it any sooner.

I miss the older price points. Beast Wars/Machines had the (based on average US prices) $5 Basics, $10 Deluxes, $15 Mega Class, $20 Ultras, and Optimal Optimus ran between $25-30.
Now it's $6-7 Basics, $10 Deluxes, $20 Voyagers, $25 Ultras, $40 Leaders, and $50 Supremes.

$19.99 with tax = 21.64 X 5 = 108.20

Count your blessings. They are much more than $20 US in other parts of the world. I would love to pay that price.

I've seen them on sale at Target already in NJ. I wouldn'T be suprized if they drop after X-Mas, they realy aren't selling as well as the deluxe class.

Once the animated figures start taking control of the shelves, and the movie toys get relegated to #2, then there might be wholesale price drops on their larger figures, especially the ones who have proved themselves to be shelfwarmers.
AS for whining about prices, I think those from the UK have the most to complain about, not only do they get figures late (or not at all), and pay about double the price the US does.
The same goes for Australia and New Zealand, they pay double what people in the USA do, and often shipping costs are blamed, yet both countries are extremely close to the countries where the toys are manufactured.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.
