What is the worst version of starscream every made?
I know that starscream is one of the most beloved toys and heck character from any era. I think part of what makes him so loved is the actor that have voiced him over the years. But I wonder has there ever been a starscream toy that sucked so bad that you wouldn't buy it on a dare and someone gave it to you it would be used for explosives practice.

Actually, the absolute worst version of Starscream, IMO is the so-called War Within Starscream from the Titanium line. That was not War Within Starscream by any stretch of the imagination. The appearance and transformation were completely wrong. It was just Thundercracker with Starscream's paintjob. As evidenced in the pictures balow from the comic, the Seekers in the actual comic book each had unique transformations and appearances, unlike their later Earth modes.

Notice how each Seeker transforms completely differently than the others. No two characters in that series transformed the same. They were all completely unique.

Pretender Starscream (Or Legends Starscream - sold without the shell). The black paint would chip off very easily, and his wing clips are pretty brittle as well. I had at least three of these things as a kid, because of all these problems (I didn't have the original, so this one filled in for Starscream).

I don't have many Starscreams, but of the ones I have I hate Armada Starscream the most. He can barely move and doesn't look very good in either form in my opinion.

I always thought the unreleased G2 Starscream was pretty awful. For the simple fact his alt mode combined with the unreleased G2 Megatron's alt mode by Starscream poking his nose up Megatron's butt.
(Megatron and Starscream were to be released using the G2 Dreadwind and Smokescreen molds)

Gives whole new literal meaning to the term "Brown-noser".

Movie SS. You always need to compare the alt mode to the bot mode. If one looks so much worse than the other you have the winner. In this case the alt mode of Movie SS looks great while the bot mode looks like it was designed by a blind guy. WORST MOULD EVER. Watch Hasbro repaint the crap out of it while good moulds like Armada Wheeljack are just plain forgotten about.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

I figured if they every did version of megatron that combined with anyone like that it would be shockwave since his lips were permantly attached megatron ass during the entire 2nd season of g1 series.

I acctually like Movie screamer. Its acctually a very good mold, looks good in both forms. Only complaint is that the guns are permanantly attached... I think they should of allowed you to remove them and had hands behind them. Other than that he's very posable, and looks damn near identical to movie starscream!
Worst starscream would either be G1 or Armada. Armada looked good in pictures but once I bought the toy it was an immediate dissapointment with his horribly molded back, and total lack of articulation. As for G1, looked awesome in jet mode, but had too many extra parts, looked like crap in robot mode, and no articulation at all. It's forgivable, however because all G1 toys were like this, since technology was lacking in the 1980's.

Armada Starscream suffered from what a LOT of the Armada/Energon/Cybertron figures suffered from.
Gimmicks.
If they hadn't been restricted by locked in gimmicks the figures could have had FAR more articulation. Starscream in particular could have had that backpack fold down and his articulation greatly improved.
I still loved the figure though, especially the wing sword, though both wings should have been useable as swords. But yeah, it could have been much better.

Shockwave has lips? Okay I know he doesn't keep them on his face. I really don't believe that I want to think about this one too deeply...
Too late!

I own 62 Starscream toys and whatnot and I would say the shoe one I dislike the most. Chances are high it will not make it into my collection on the ground of...its a shoe. Come on, Starscream is a jet.
Oddly enough, I seem to like the movie one...he kinda grew on me.
