T.E.C.H.

this weekend i saw several places stocking the transformers T.E.C.H. stuff, and so I grabbed the "digital dagger" (also saw the "quickbow")

i'm actually very impressed by it. the light and sound features are actually pretty cool. the entire blade carries the light from further down the handle, and it features the classic transform sound when you shift it from phone to blade.

its just a silly role-play toy and i normally don't go for those, but this looked cute, and its neat. i like it.

only one minor complaint: there's a power switch on the back to disable the lights and sounds...... my complaint is this: the light on the blade fades after a few seconds. I would have much rather it stay on, so long as the power switch on the back remains "on" and its in the transformed mode.

Motto: "I once lost a battle. So long ago I can barely remember it."
Weapon: Thermal Melters
I can see those damn parents groups getting all over this toy like wax to a car at an auto show to show how bad these toys are for kids
BWOP: "Die-cast construction...It's a lost art!"

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Weapon: Sword
I've seen them at a Target store near me. I passed; they don't fit my collection.

yeah, they don't really fit mine either, though I also collect swords and knives, so this was sort of like "somewhere (stupid) in between" so i couldn't help myself.

same here, but i saw 'em at wal mart.... but from a distance i got excited when i saw them because i thought they were new transformers action figures, upon close inspection it wasnt what i exactly hoped for. their first impression from me was kinda of a disappointment :? .
