Movie Deluxes are no longer being sold in stores...
I'm almost positive of this. There was a thread somewhere about deluxes not being sold anymore, and i got scared. Well I've been visitng both Target and Walmarts everyday (literally) trying to find 08 BB, and they still have not restocked.
Well i went today and Walmart restocked Transformers movie toys... but no deluxes, only Cyberstompers. Then I go to the rack where Deluxes usually area, and the rack is not even labeled for Movie Deluxes anymore! They've taken the racks used before for deluxes, and relabled them for some starwars toys or something...
Then i go to a different walmart, and their racks weere relabled as well. I guess this is goodbye to deluxes?

This is not true. These stores are just waiting for Hasbro to ship them. The sales of these figures have been better than predicted.

I know how you feel, I've been looking for '08 Bumblebee for weeks with no sign of him, luckily the stores in the charlotte area are still selling Deluxes, though not the one I want!

The Movie line has been one of the most successful for Hasbro in ages. If they dropped the Deluxes, being the most cheapest and profitable size, then that be the most idiotic thing they could do. Deluxes won't be gone for another 3-4 months.

ummmmmmmm,
no.
went to walmart today.. they were bare for a week, and then they restocked wave 1-2 from the movie line.
alot of stores are restocking for x-mas, and we likely won't see anything new for a few more weeks. some cases have arrived early and been stocked, but target, wallyworld, will be redoing the toy section to sale more in the next few months.

I think your Wal-Mart is resetting the toy section. I went to a Wal-Mart this weekend and they changed the place where they kept Transformers, moved it closer to the front

Yeah, I checked out my Targets and Wal-Marts today, and most of them are bare, but have little charts taped to the walls where the TFs should be. If it's the same as when I used to work at Circuit City, they're just resetting and possibly moving the section to somewhere else, probably tomorrow or Wednesday.

My Walmart and Target are empty except FABs and my TRU won't order anymore until the shelves are empty, problem being they won't be because they are full of Protoforms.
So looks like I'll be saving up some money for a Movie Cliffjumper

Sales for the Movie toys has been excellent this side of the Pacific too.
All the large chain stores have toy sales in July (laybuy till Christmas etc etc), and most have been completely wiped out, all the bots featured in the movie are next to extinct, and even Swindle and Dreadwing only having a few of each figure on the shelves rather than the dozens that were around before the sales.
If Hasbro has not made many a $ Million profit for their 3rd quarter, then they really made some bad investments elsewhere.

I heard from the dept. manager of toys that we have a new mod coming in, but we're so behind that we haven't had time to set it up yet. We have plenty of Movie Leaders and crap loads of Swindle and Bonecrusher.

All I know is I'm getting pissed. I live really close to two Wal-Marts and two Targets. I check at least two a day (sometimes all 4 in a day) and they've ALL been completely out of deluxes for two weeks now.
I've never worked retail so I don't know how it works but I always assumed that when they run out of stock and they don't have anymore in the stockroom (which really they should) that they place an order with the distributor and get more on the next shipment. So it's been two weeks, wtf are they waiting for?

LOL, same here. The TRU that I visit have dozens of movie protoforms and TONS of Beast War leaders 2 pack(what?), along with many reissue Soundwave, classics, and a few Titaniums on the shelves (a bit suprise). Anyway, stuff that you've seen before.
I don't know. I feel like I'm seeing more stuff at Big Lots (new Knock-offs).
