Can I get a price check on an opened TRU reissue Starscream?

well, yea, it's a pretty good deal.
that reissue has a few things different, mainly with the null ray cannons, but good find.

I would never put a reissue in my collection, even if someone gave it to me for free.

because he is a man of integrity and men of intergity can not be bothered with items that are beneath him, like reissues

Because, in my opinion mind you, reissues are "fakes". They are not the real thing. They are not generation one Transformers. Reissues belong in the same catagory as bootlegs, illegal reproductions, etc.rofflesaurus wrote:And why's that?

You gotta be f*ckin' kidding me. That is the dumbest thing I ever heard. Talk about coming off as being an elitist. You can call yourself a vintage collector and there would be no problem whatsoever. But to categorize reissues as bootlegs, illegal repros is assinine. Reissues are official releases and they are just that, reissues. No one is claiming that reissues are the real thing. There are plenty of ways to tell a reissue from a vintage figure. People buy reissues because they may not want to spend the money on a vintage original or can't afford it.
But alas, it is your opinion.

I simply gave you my opinion. That is what I believe. If it was not produced by Hasbro in the 1980's, then it's not generation one.

noone says it is a G1, they're very obviously a "reissue". That's like saying "the Classics aren't G1"...no ****, sherlock.

My opinion is that reissues are just as good as the originals. In fact, they are better because I get to open them, apply stickers, and relive a bit of that feeling of opening a classic Transformer without the nagging thought that I just devalued a MISB vintage figure. I also prefer a new figure than someone's used toy.
Since all my collection are loose bots, I'd end up opening them anyway. Better to have a reissue than waste more money on something that would lose 2/3 of its value once I cracked open the box.
To each his own, but to say that reissues are cheap kos makes you look like an ass.

I Love Reissues!!!
anyway, to the original poster, I paid £20 for my TRU starscream reissue which i think comes to around $40? I think that was MISB though can't remember.
I'd say you got a sweet deal.

Takara Japan are the ones that came out with the g1 toys originally. On their Microman and Diaclone lines by the mid 70's to early eighties. Not Hasbro.
Hasbro later made a deal with Takara. Got Sunbow Marvel to do a storyline for them here ,and labeled them transformers.

I love re-issues, they are angels sent from haven, they are like 2nd chance offers. Gotta love those "Encore Re-issues" too! $25 for TRU Starscream re-issue is a good deal. *clap clap clap*
