HELP: G1 Cyconus - is mine was assemble wrong at factory or do I transform it wrong?

Weapon: Road Blade
:D :D I just opened my MIB Cyclonus (toy is sealed in a bubble) today so when I took him out and tried to transform him I noticed his hands seem to be mixed up between the left hand and right hand. It doesn't affect alt.mode but it does in robot mode. In robot mode, the screw side should be in the underside, not upperside like my pic. If I put in the correct side, the flap of the thruster is facing toward the body which is wrong (see pic for right hand). I tried all kind of rotation. But then again, maybe I transformed it wrong, I don't know.

My question to fellow G1 Cyclonus owners. In jet mode, tried to raise the hand/ thruster upward (like pic #2) does the screw facing the wing or located on ther other side near the body? Mine is exposed out toward the body.

Othewise, I would need to take the hands and reverse it.

It's ok but you have to push the thruster down to be level with the rest of the plane

:D :D I got the thruster down. But the problem is that I don't have the correct side of the hand facing upward. In other word, he can't hold his gun. The gun is being hold from the underside of the hand.

I want to be sure that I was not transformed it wrong before I take his hand apart.

Yup, that's the easiest fix- unscrew and reassemble. Hand mix ups sometimes happen.

:D :D Darn it.......good news and bad news.
The good news is I fixed it.
The bad new is one of the screw is damaged and a slight damage to the screw hole of the right hand as well. As I tried to screw it out, the head of the screw wore out due to the pressure in trying to take it out. I couldn't screw out anymore as the screw head material got loose and it stuck. So I had to use my dremil to dril the screw. Finally, I managed to take it out. I'm not sure the new screw will fit or not since I tore out some of the material of that particular hand.

Darn it, looks like I'll need to go Ebay for hand replacement! Agrrrrrrrr. It was brand new and still sealed in the bubble too. But thanks to those assembly errors, they screw me up!

Sorry to hear about that. Is that the real deal or a KO? I know KO's of Cyclonus were making their way around not too long ago.

Also, your sig, do you have Tit UM? If so, do you like him better that G1 UM? I'm trying to decide which one I want.

:D :D It's the real deal. The box is the Free TFTM Poster edition and the outter box itself is deteriorated dramatically from old age. So it's real.

As for which Magnus I like it better, technically I love them both. I love the 1986 UMagnus due to:
1 - I grew up with that toy
2 - It's more durable and sturdier than Titanium Magnus.
3 - It has more playing value than Titanium Magnus.
4 - And it's bigger than Titanium Magnus..

However, if you want accuracy to the cartoon, then Titanium UMagnus is the way to go. He is the closest to the cartoon UMagnus than any tranformable UMagnus figure ever release.

Take the original screw and some super glue.

Apply glue to screw, place screw in hole. Clamp fingers around arm and apply pressure to the screw with screw driver.

The two should adhere to one another and be fixed.

No need to ebay for it.

I would suggest getting a fitting screw instead. Its no point gluing the old screw since its just a generic screw. (and cheap too). Besides, since the head is wore out, it would be a nightmare to unscrew it in future should it need to.
Use a fitting screwdriver this time. Most of the worn-out screw-head problems are caused by misfit screw driver heads.

Going to yr local hardware store and try all the screws. It isnt too hard, right? :)
