What should I repaint Classics Jetfire as?

My local TRU has lots of Classics Jetfires, and a couple Primes. I was thinking I might buy 1 or 2 and repaint them. It's a great mold. I already have Dreadwind so no need to do a repaint for him. So I'm trying to come up with some ideas. Here are a few I've thought of:
G1 Style Deco-If you notice, Classics is similar, but not as close to his G1 color scheme as he could be.
G2 Style Deco-I really like Jetfires G2 cameo style deco. It would be difficult though.
Robotech-The original Jetfire was a repaint of a Robotech figures, so why not do the ovious turn around and repaint Classics Jetfire into a Robotech mech. Plus, I've just started watching the Robotech series. But which one to base it on?
So what are your ideas? Has anyone else tried repainting him?
Edit: Oh, and I forgot. What about Classics Optimus Prime? Should I pick up 1 of him to repaint as well? Any ideas? I'd probably do a Nemesis Prime repaint, but I'm not sure on the likelyhood of Hasbro doing one too.

not familiar with g2 jetfire, but repainting the red to blue to make a variation on Max's Robotech fighter would be kinda cool maybe.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I just gave one of my extra Jetfires a light black wash and he looks 10x better IMO.. granted its not a full repaint but it still makes worlds of difference!

I say paint him up like Skyquake.
Apeface could be another interesting repaint.

With some modding to the head why not a Darkwing to keep Dreadwind company?
With Prime rather than going for the obvious and done to death Nemesis give some thought to the unreleased Toxitron that can be seen in the galleries of the Hasbro tour from this year's Botcon. Quite a cool colour scheme on a Prime that one.

I also think Gutter Bunny's suggestion works extremely well on this mould:
