Until you breath out that is...
In seriousness, I believe that if Transformers get discontinued within my lifetime I shall go to a room by myself, make sure no one can hear, cry for a few hours, come out, sit on the couch & watch some TV.
Then I'd make plans for my last ever Transformers buy & leave it at that. I'd decide which special figure to spend as much money as possible on. Then I'd take down my display, set up a new one, save up for a reasonable sized tomb, write directions for how they should be set up, then I'd grow old, die & be buried with my collection.
If it gets discontinued
after I die, then YAY!
QFT.
For me, before Transformers, I was big into card games
(Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering). The Magic Cards I keep
accessible because my friends are still heavy into it and it's
fun to play against em still, but the Yu-Gi-Oh cards are boxed
up and put away somewhere, though I always carry at least
one deck with me when I go into any local hobby shops or
over to my friends' houses, because they played it too.
For Transformers, I'd scour the secondary market for any product
I want but may have missed, buy a big ol' glass display case
and keep them there. Perhaps I'd pass them to my kids, or in
lieu of my own, to the child of a close friend or family
member. Or better still, if I could find a museum or preservation
society, I donate to them.
