1. Is Tow Line any good? He worth hunting down to compliment Downshift?

2. Superlink Bruticus Maximus and Superion Maximus...are these guys good? My impression from the galleries is that they are good quality and sturdy. What's the verdict?

Superion is the least sturdy of the combiners, but in my opinion he's still a cool bunch of figures and a great addition to a collection. Unfortunately I never picked up all the limbs when he was out, but I've got two of them. I just use other miscellaneous Energon limbs to finish him.

Same thing I do with Bruticus, but he's a much sturdier combiner. Some say he's the best combiner in the line. Again, really cool figures and a good addition to the collection.

Tow-Line is cool, but keep in mind he's like G1 Ratchet, with the bot mode that separates from the bottom of the vehicle to make a sort of battle platform. The platform's a little lame IMO, but his actual bot mode was cool enough for me to pick him up.

IMHO. he's one of the better Energon bots. If you don't mind the slightly scrawny legs, he's definitely worth it.

He has the bottom part of the van transform into a tank base. he can superlink with any basic sized energon figure. Both parts of him can. So you can have 2 combined bots from Downshift at the same time.

I really like him and he's a nice homage to Skids.

Bruticus Maximus is very nice. Holds together well, and can pose nicely. He's one of my favorite.

Superion has chest problems. Jetstorm (the torso) bot has a peg thats supposed to connect to the crotch area, but its so small it doesn't stay in . So his chest kind of flops around.

Okay I'll look into Tow Line for sure. I'm curious to try superlinking him to Downshift.

And great to hear Bruticus Max being good quality. Guess he's my next want. Also, if that's the only complaint with Superion, I can easily overlook it.

Thanks for your input

Tow-line is a great homage figure, and a decent figure overall. Superlinking with the base half looks rather dim with Downshift as the shirt though.

Tow-line does come with an impressive looking weapon though!

Bruticus is the only Energon combiner I bothered completing, Constructicon didn't take my eye, and I had read alot of bad things about Superion's torso and weight problems.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Hmm now I'm starting to doubt Superion. Is the loose torso really all that bad? He looks so good complete though

He looks good. But that little peg is just annoying. But if you can ignore that, then well he's got the same basic design as the other 2 combiners.

So you can just mix and match limbs.

i remember hearing about some issue with superion too, and i remember people complaining about him falling apart/over just by looking at him wrong.

Mine never fell apart just sitting there, but his chest does come apart quite easily if you pick him up. However, if you keep that in mind when you move it, you should be fine.
