Best For a First TF?

I want to get my nephew his first TF. He'll be 2, and I am not sure if the plush Optimus or a cyberslammer would be better. What does everyone think?

Fast Action Battlers are really nice figures, and easy to transform. If you could find an Optimus or a Starscream, I'd recommend one of those.
Also, if you have any G1s, G1s are great starter figures. Easy to transform, and hard to break.

I have a two going on three and a one year old, and he loves TF's. I haven' picked up much of the movie line, but he loves robot heroes. They are small, fit in his hands well, and they don't transform, so he doesn't have a problem changing them.
Of the two choices, I'd have to go with Softimus Prime, he will get a lot more use out of it as opposed to a Slammer that he will get bored with pretty quick.

I have two boys. At about two, both absolutely loved keychain G1 Bumblebee. I just took off the keyring. It was cheap, easy to get (try KB Toys these days) and they were able to transform them. The only fault is that the rubber tires are easy to pull off and my youngest is a bit less careful with toys and he kept pulling them off.
The problem with Cyberslammers is that they are difficult for a two year old to lock into place when he inevitably wants it to stay in car mode.
