Longarm issues

I like the figure a lot. Just some concerns...

I am just looking for more information on his transformation. I have trouble with his truck mode. The headlights won't prone into the position shown in the instructions. Doors won't shut down. The feet are hard to get back in place. His cannon used to shoot a lot harder and farther before, don't know why the effect went down. When standing, the top part sort of slouches downwards right, does that mean it's going to break? Like when posing him he doesn't stand straight up facing you. The plus is that it looks like he's strafing. Read on teletraan 1 wiki that there was problem with the hook, but I don't see it...
Longarm features a minor mis-assembly problem, in that the strut between the crane section and the hook itself is reversed. It is easily fixed by popping off the hook and turning it around, then unscrewing the crane part and flipping the strut. This allows the gun to fit together much better, as depicted on the packaging
Maybe I played around with it too much...

I got him, but have no problems.
So, maybe Wikipedia lied again, and you may have a defective, so just don't overuse him, and you're fine.

Am I being to picky? Is my luck bad? Or is it Hasbro's quality control? This plagues me so.

No mine was like that, messed around with it, it's fine... the feet are just a pain in the ass... if you look behind the knees, there's these two like black things, they move the ankleand sometimes i make sure both of them are even with the other leg for him to stand up straight. His legs and feet are just a pain sometimes.
