Animated Toys released in Australia

Postby i_amtrunks » Sat May 24, 2008 12:25 am

Although Australia, like the majority of the planet was expecting a mid June release of the first wave of Transformers: Animated figures, it seems that certain toy stores in Victoria weren't told.

Paulbot of OTCA has found the first wave of figures in a Toy Kingdom store in Victoria for the following prices:

Deluxes: Prime, Prowl, Bumblebee, and Lockdown $27.95 each
Voyagers: Bulkhead, Starscream, Cybertron Megatron $44.95 each
2 pack: Prime vs Megatron $44.95 each

Prices seem about the same as the movie toys, and it seems that only this Victorian Toy Kingdom has the actual figures, no other reports have been made about finding these figures in other stores.

Cool. I'll have to keep an eye out in my local shops then. Not that I'll be inclined to buy any if I do find them, since I've got all the figures I want from the first wave pre-ordered from BBTS...

Toy Kingdom (and even some Toyworld's) often seem to get the stock in earlier and release it earlier.

Not that it's any benefit to me, still the same old rubbish today and no new stuff whatsoever. :?

OK...the question arises: are the toys going to have a June 22 street date? or is June 22 the day they are looking for "product saturation"? If the latter is the case, we should be seeing them released within the next week or so...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...

Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

I hope that it's still June 22nd(sorry). I'm making a fortune scalping them on E-bay. 8)

LOL - Typical - My figures (Lockdown, Chinscream, B'Bee) arrived in the mail today...(Big thx to Megs!!)

...speaking of which anyone got a Lockdown with a dodgy Hip?? it looks like the socket for the ball joint on mine isn't quite deep enough, allowing the leg to pop off easily (like "don't look at me the the wrong way, or I'll fall off" easy)
