My first transforming toy wasn't a Transformers transformer.
It was this little robot that tranformed into a logo for some medicine.
Edit: My first Transformers transformer was Dinobot.

I think I got a bunch on Christmas of 84 which included Optimus Prime and Soundwave so I don't remember exactly which was my first. I DO remember my brother's first which I still have: G1 Sideswipe.

G1 Starscream...which would explain my obsession with the character. Seriously, I have so much Starscream crap that even my girlfriend knows his history.

G2 Grimlock. I have G1 Rampage and a white motorcycle from G1 but I think I got those later on. Still have all 3 in semi decent condition.

G1 Gears for me. I still love it to this day.

I bought G1 Prowl and Powermaster Optimus Prime at the same time in 1994. So they share the honor. Since then, my original Powermaster Prime was lost and I just recently replaced him.

G1 Mirage, and a multi-colored knock-off G1 Devastator. Sadly fifteen years ago, my sister accidentally mistook my box of old toys as Salvation Army stuff, and donated it to an orphanage in a fit of utter stupidity. In all likelihood, it got smashed to shards within minutes by some kid who has no idea how much a G1 Mirage is worth these days.
Didn't find out until years later.
The closest I ever got to owning Mirage again was his Classics version that I bought as an adult.
Maybe this belongs more in the "worst thing that happened to your TF" thread...

G1 Wheelie.
Thankfully, he's also one of the few TFs I've lost.
After that came Lightspeed and Nautilator.

My first toy with a Transformers logo on it was G1 Thrust.

Being from Europe, I was late in the game (relatively). Plus, I've had a hiatus
My very first couple of Transformers were the members of the Micromaster Off Road Patrol: Powertrain, Mudslinger, Highjump and Tote. Later on I got more Micromaster sets, I love those little buggers (which also explains my love for mini-Cons). Later on, during the 1991 reissue era I got my first full-size figures: Defensor, Wheeljack and Throttlebot Searchlight.
The figures that got me into collecting were Armada Sideways and RiD Optimus Prime on clearance. Never regretted it ^^

My First Transformer was the G1 Optimus Prime, the trailer was black, and so was the noise badge. I lost his fists, never played with him again.
When Aniversary Prime came out, i got him. He's in my bedroom on my dresser.
Others were a Garage sale Slag? don't know which one was the Triceratops. I even had one of the constructicons. I forgot which one. And also had a non transformable robot mode Bumblebee.

While my first Transformer was a G1 Sunstreaker, I too am a member of the way-too-into-Starscream-and-Starscream-merchandise Club, and my girlfriend has also been cursed with a painful derth of Starscream knowledge.

Ah, memories!
Soundwave was my first figure, back in the good ol 80's. I hadn't even seen the cartoon yet, but was intrigued by the chunky cannon-carrying bots from the first issue of the Marvel comic, so I said "what the hay" and made room in my GI Joe dominated budget for the cool looking cassette player with the robot hawk tape, and I was hooked. I knew as I click-clacked him back and forth between bot and alt mode that I needed more. MORE! Now, 1000 TFs later, I still have a fond place of honor on my shelves for this marvelous piece of my personal Transformers history.

G1 Prowl waaaaaaay back when in 1984...
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
