Beast Wars Scorponok question

Can anyone that has both the Hasbro and Takara version of Scorponok tell me if his pinchers and legs are the same colors on the both of them? From what pics I've seen they look identical though some of the pics had the flash on. Anyway why I ask is because I have the Takara version and my Scorponok took a little bit of damage recently and his pincher with the bee inside it has broken and I need to replace it and with the price of the Takara version up so high I'd rather not spend $100 on him for a pincher.

Nope.

The American version has grey pinchers and claws and the Japanese one has purple ones.

Well shoot! I guess I'll just have to wait for one to pop up somewhere for a lower price or just pay $100 for him now though he is a 12 year old figure so he's really worth $100. Anyway thanks for info Loki God Of Mischief.

 That's the original 1996 toy for BW Scorponok? Looks almost nothing like the character on screen.

That was pretty common for those toys, Beast Wars all the way through Beast Machines. In some ways it could have been good, for example, I wish Nightscream looked like this:

The head seen on both figures in those pics is the toy's Mutant Head. Scorponok's cartoon model based its head design on the toy's actual robot head that hides within the Mutant Head:

No, no it doesn't. Not sure if I've ever taken a good look at Takara's version till now, but even it lacks the right color scheme.

However, it's a good figure in it's own right, and the mutant head looks really cool in my opinion. If they ever remake Scorponok the original could easily be reworked into a new character.
