The link above is just like the Megatron I have... yet i was at wal-mart and noticed a little different paint job. So I checked the toy galleries here and it shows 2. It's a given that Nest shadow version is diff. but the other one in the gallery has much more black in the toy as the one I have as seen in the ebay link above.

So is their 2 paint jobs on the reular RotF leader grey with little black? and the 3rd being nest of course.

ps will somebody make a huge arm appendege to go on his left arm!! jeez he reminds he of the butler in scary movie 2 hahaha.

and Nest version: I still can't find the nest version... but I found a nebular starscream at kmart yesterday!!! sweet voyager class can't wait for leader!

I did this. It's not quite what you asked for but I think it's better as other things are improved.

They look the same to me. Mind you, lighting can make a huge difference in how a figure looks.

Just to let you know, there are two variations to RotF Megatron, but it has to do with the sound chip. US versions say "I am Megatron!", while European (excluding UK) versions only have "Megatron!" followed by demonic laughter. The same is true for Optimus Prime and Jetire (without the laughter of course), this is to get past the language barriers.

Actually you are wrong. In the UK we got the crappy Euro version. It's awful and makes no sense. Is he laughing at his own name? OK, you're right on the main points I just wanted to confuse you for a moment JG!

Personally, i think the Shadow Command Megatron looks a hell of allot better than the all silver orginal, which i understand this color is suppose to resemble his movie color and character, but there's something about the colors for Shadow Cmd version that really hits home with me. Not only that i feel Hasbro made some changes with how the spring load claw and the spring load missile activates on this version of Megatron and the reason i say this is because LC ROFT Megs i had and i've had 3 of them, the claw gizmo just sucked and would stick or get stuck after pressing the button and the missile would get caught or wouldn't even fire that far or barely make it out of the cannon arm. The Shadow Cmd Megs i have the claw comes crashing down and does it hard enough to activate the missile button which launches the missile pretty far!

There are at least 4 versions of ROTF Leader Megatron.

-original grey/black with full lenght voice clip + long inner left leg post
-original grey/black with full lenght voice clip + short inner left leg post
-original grey/black with shorted voice clip + short inner left leg post
-Shadow Leader Megatron with new deco and new voice clip

I don't know if they made a long post version of the version with the shortened voice clip, I've never seen one myself. They corrected the post lenght because the left tank tread was pointing outward with the long one. It's funny because I noticed that right away when I got my first Leader Megatron sample before the release and I shortened the post myself to correct it.
