I'm pretty sure Leader Starscream is actually supposed to come with 2 launchers - the one in Seibertron's gallery was missing one, that's all.
Great looking toy. I seriously have to try hard to convince myself not to buy this.

Actually is has 1 launcher and 2 missles. Had the toy for a while now.. and he removed some parts from the original launcher to make it look G1 I guess..

Remove the static missles and blades off the launcher so in robot mode they double as jet engines. this would make Leader Class Starscream look 100%, giving him additional missle launcher will make the jet mode more leathal and after the deployment of missles he's ready to transform and get up close for the fight.
please give us one more missle luancher please
I think this guy is a genius! It is supposed to come with 2 missiles... so maybe it does come with 2 launchers! If you look closely at it, it does look like the gun's barrel is a jet engine...

This is one amazing figure. While the transformation appears complex, it's actually intuitive for the most part.

Both figures look very close to their movie counterparts. In robot mode, I think SS looks more "realistic". I think the detailing on SS is superior to Prime.
SS's tranformation is much easier to accomplish than Primes. It has an appropriate number of steps, but it isn't confusing. At no point do you feel like you are going to snap pieces off or force anything. All the part go where it looks like they should.
Did they use a new kind of plastic for SS? It almost has a soft feel to it. It feels like the parts are solid but have some give to them. Primes "armor" pieces are hard, flat plastic. This also affects the look of the figure. Whereas Prime's pieces are shiny to look at, SS has a more flat look. I like it.
As far as alt modes go, I think its a wash. They both look fantastic. On the voyager SS, I thought the Cybertron tattoos were overpowering. On the leader figure they look good. Looking at the F22 sitting on my coffee table I would think it is a model of the real thing, not a Transformer.
It is obvious that Hasbro took the time to do this one RIGHT. I can honestly say that there is nothing I can complain about with SS. Fantastic figure!

The alt mode is really impressive with the same kind of panel interlocking that Jetfire displayed but with the process improved and perfected.
The transformation is complex and intuitive except for one single step in alt to bot mode where the panel just has no give. Everything locks and guides you to the right location.
The bot mode is detailed and articulated, but most importantly it is accurate to the movie. Where his chest is wide, it is not a limit as there are joints in all the right places for realistic movement and posing.
Starscream properly handles his missile launcher by allowing it to be a transforming part of his arm or removable kibble. Two little guns sit in his hands as well.
Best of all, there just aren't any cheats in the toy. Every part goes from here to there and has a purpose. The legs retain all their detail and don't rely on a collapsing mechanism to hide them and the arms work in a similar way.
I'm bad at reviews...but this is the most impressive toy I've held in my hands since MP Grimlock.
