Okay... I have both ROTF Jolt, and DOTM Jolt. Both are nice figures (though DOTM Jolt is measureably better), but... paint job aside, they don't even look like the same character. None of the details are even remotely similar, and not even the head sculpts do more than vaguely resemble each other.
So... which one actually looks like the movie version? Or do neither one resemble their celluloid/digital incarnations?

I loved the ROTF version, which was pretty accurate to the fifteen seconds we saw him on screen with the exception of the ends of the Electrowhips (barbed on the toy, claws in the movie). I just can't find anything i like about the DOTM one. It's awkward.

Really? The DOTM figure is a lot more "readable" to me, and has a lot more intuitive transformation.
If ROTF Jolt is that much more screen accurate... then why didn't they alter the vehicle mode some and use the new mold as a new, non-appearing character?

I think it's a bit of both really. I don't have either but I've examined pictures and I think they both have merits. Like comparing deluxe 09 concept Bee with HA Bee.

Re: The Riddle of Jolt
i dont know...i like most of the transformation for DotM Jolt, but i dont like how his arms dont tab in and then i am not a fan of Mech tech and the smaller sizes.
So im goign with RotF Jolt

ROTF is nice. I'd take off the windows on the shoulders and thin his torso more, and make it even closer to the movie, and I have yet to get DOTM Jolt. By comparison, I'd give half to both. But nothing beats Cybertron Jolt :>

Yeah, I'm on the fence with this guy too. I do love that they seemed to get his hands right, but that is about all that is speaking to me. Soooooo........ do I get a transformer just for his hand articulation?
I just debated with myself in Walmart today about the Walmart exclusive Bumblebee and sideswipe repainted versions. I got them. But I just can't bring myself to get this character. If he starts becoming a shelf warmer later, then perhaps.

Honestly, ignoring the movie, DOTM Jolt seems to be a better figure to me. His proportions are better, he doesn't look as cluttered, and he's got a more "classic" look to him.
I was just wondering... if the ROTF Jolt is more screen-accurate than DOTM, why did they change it so much to be LESS screen accurate?
