Full Metal Hero member Luffy made an interesting discovery in the pages of a recent Testco catalog, another possible Transformers DOTM Voyager Shockwave repaint. The scan shows Shockwave in an unusual purple and green deco that some have speculated as a catalog coloring error or possibly a lighting issue. Check out the catalog scan below.

Not that that would compel me to buy it, but Shockblast/Laserwave is one of the few things I look back on fondly in the Energon cartoon. I mean, how many TFs were so badass that it took Unicron punching them into the surface of a planet to finally snuff them?

OOOORRRR, ease off the repaints and make new figures? Maybe it's too early for new figures. I have much higher hopes for a subsequent movie toyline, like HFTD. Man there was pure awesomeness out of that line! I'm hoping for a repeat!

Has anyone looked at the S.P. under it? it looks different, lighting as it may be, but the face looks darker and the shoulders are darker. but really, all of these Shockwave repaints are just too ugly to be taken seriously. The first was good enough.....now lets see some leader class pictures so we can stop dry heaving over these repaints

I don't think lighting could explain that green color. If it's not accurate, then it's a printing error, not a lighting issue. I think it's probably accurate. They're probably going for some sort of G1/Devastator homage.
