What's the oldest TF toy you've recently seen at a retail or discount store?
I saw a Transformers Animated 2008 Leader sized Bulkhead toy a week ago at a Kmart store in America. the toy was brand new inside the package with all it's twist ties still tied. the box was some minor shelf wear but it was still factory sealed. I studied the inside & outside of the box, their were no signs of the toy or box being opened then re-sealed. Since it was Kmart, they were sill asking full price of $43.99 from the kmart price tag on the toy.
It couldn't have been a return. because kmart doesn't accept returns without a receipt. kmart doesn't give store credit without a receipt.
I suspose it's possible someone did return the animated bulkhead toy a few days after christmas 2010. as most stores make exceptions during christmas returns week/month and do take stuff back without a receipt & offer store credit.
No,I Didn't buy the toy at kmart. I'm not a fan of the design in either mode.

At my TRU there are a lot of TFs from 2006 onward. Animated Slag, Universe Onslaught, Dropshot, Darkwind and Silverbolt, just to name a few. There are toys from all 3 movielines as well. I thought about picking up the green Legends Class RotF Devastator, but it was $30. Not worth it to me. But there are some forgotten pieces. Just nothing I want.

If it's Bart Smit or ToysXL I'm not surprised:
ToysXL The Hague: Animated Voyager Bulkhead, slightly discounted
Bart Smit Nootdorp: RotF Rampage, full price. Add some Animted Bumper Battlers while I'm at it.

2006 i found (and purchased) Beast Wars Transquito (seriously)
But recently, TRU has transformers from 5 seprate lines (6 depending on how you would class a universe 2008 three pack filled with cybertron basic's figures). Its thanks to those crappy shelfwarmers, i missed out almost entirely on the 2010 line.

Rite-Aid stocks the Universe deluxe figures. I've seen Octane, Prowl, Galvatron, and a few others, but for like $17.99 - which I didn't pass up on prowl though.
A TJ Maxx near me had the universe ultra figures for $17 early in the year - I passed on powerglide, silverbold, hardhead, and onslaught. Wish I got powerglide!

sad, story about universe hardhead. I saw it a TJMaxx for around $17,held in my hands for a while then decided against buying it. a day or 2 later I saw pics of the transforming headmaster kit with weapons. now I wanted this toy,I went back to the TJmaxx & it was gone. they still had the powerglide,so I wound up getting that instead.
a few days later I went to amazon.com & bought a universe hardhead from a amazon.com seller. for around $26
I went to ebay but the average price was over $40 at the time.

ROTF Megatron and Optimus Prime (was actauly HFT Battle hooks version) both were clearly repackaged (and prime was put in the ROTF box instead of the HFTD Version)

the local TRU is lousy with 2007 and ROTF and universe 2.0 toys.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.
