I made the mistake of ripping apart Deluxe Proto Starscream's box, I didn't realise there's a really easy way to do it. You can either slice open the tempered line running along the base of the bubble, and then use a razor to cut the tape running down the plastic that wraps around the back of the card. Then the curved section of the bubble acts as a hinge which lets you pull up the bubble and slide out the tray, Transformer and all.
Any one else find they could do this? Or is everyone comfortable with just pulling the bubble straight off?

I always open mine by cutting the bubble off with a razor blade knife, then use scissors or wire cutters to remove all those pesky twist ties. A knife is exteremly helpful in opening boxed figures since Hasbro likes to use a lot of tape.

Part of the fun with Transformers for me is, rip the damn box open!
But that just me.
But that just me.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Been doing this on every movie fig I got. I like the cardbacks. I cut the bottom of the plastic, and so forth, and getting the figure out is pretty easy. The only thing that I despise are the 143,087,001 plastic ties that Hasbro likes to anchor the poor toys down with.

I always try to keep my card backs together... then i have to fight my cat because she loves the fact that Hasbro puts those twist ties on the fig so if the world ended the fig would't have moved inside of the package!!! I do the cut the plastic taped on the back, then the tapered bottom, and finally I cut the rest of the bubble on the fig to finish it off, and keep a nice looking card in the end!

I throw the boxes/cards away, so I use scissors to just cut or slice my way into the package in whatever appears to be the easiest way.
I can see the point in saving boxes and card backs, but it just is not my style.

I keep the back of the box (like a carded figure)so I usually dont care too much for the rest of the box, but I've found with the Movie figures, and all the Bloody tape all over them, that it is just easier to cut all the tape, and just slice off the tabs connecting the boxes, since everytime I try to be careful with the tabs they either tear or tear the box anyway.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.
