After purchasing the THS-02 and seeing first hand how it was such a Masterpiece I had to get my hands on Nemesis Prime but with it being a ehobby exclusive I just couldn't find one priced right, just a bunch of buy nows for $200+ dollars but finally I managed to get one MISB for $100.99 shipped, yes I know he was about $80 three years ago but I missed that boat, anyway YES!!! I looked at pictures of both these guys and the Cybertron Optimus too and they are all full of of awesome m(mini) Masterpiece greatness!!

I dont own any but would love to get my hands on both Primes, not too fussed in getting Nemesis/Black Convoy though.

Ive heard they are pretty small though, even smaller than an average Deluxe! Is that correct?

Would you happen to have a size comparison picture against maybe Classics Optimus or similar?

Btw, He is Optimus Prime/Convoy and not Nemesis Prime. According to the back story, the Matrix allowed him to "transform" his appearance back to his G1 self albeit with special armor plating that absorbs solar energy which gives him added fire power.

He is TINY! It's the only real complaint I have about him. He's not bigger than a scout.
If you right click and select 'view image' you'll see a larger version. He's on the right with WFC OP behind him.

The back story of this "Convoy" occurs more or less after his Laser RodConvoy incarnation.

"The Matrix", feeling a disturbance in the force , okay, I exaggerate a bit, 1st revives Ultra Magnus (another Matrix bearer) from his grave in Japan (refer to the Headmasters series) in order to counter the threat of Galvatron 2 from an alternate universe (the default colored Galvatron back in the 1986 toyline, not the purple colored psycho in the movie/anime. This Ultra Magnus is the e-hobby Laser Rod Convoy with UM "color" applications). Anyway, UM gets his robo butt kicked despite being "recalled" by the Matrix with extra powers.

Cue (with the Touch), Convoy/Optimus Prime comes to the rescue with his new black armor body. It enhances his combat abilities with the extra solar energy absorbing abilities of the armor. Though powerful in this form, he overheats quickly so he has to beat his foe in so short a time.

The story sort of ends in a cliffhanger when Convoy confronts Galvatron 2( who remarks if he got his new form from the "land of the living")apparently, in the alternate universe, the story still follows the 1986 Movie storyline of Convoy dying and Megatron being reformatted into Galvatron.

I guess that explains MP-01B as well, but personally I always consider Black Convoys as Nemesis Primes, seeing how I just paid $100 for him and he's now in my collection I'm going to go with that. lol

Yes he's small but every bit of a Masterpiece, IMO in more ways than even MP-01B

Btw, the Black Powermaster aka Nucleon Convoy IS Convoy/Optimus Prime unlike the default red, silver and blue who was known as Ginrai.

This form he assumes after his Starconvoy incarnation (after kicking Star Giant/Dark Nova's robo butt in Return of Convoy storyline. He has a new set of armor designed by HiQ in order for him to withstand the punishing conditions in a black hole in his quest for "nucleon". Seibertron didn't explode in "Headmasters" but more or less shut down after Galvatron blew up Vector Sigma. Nucleon was supposed to be the answer to Seibertron's energon shortage.

* Seibertron is synonymous with the western term for Cybertron.

You got Nucleon Quest Convoy. No worries, your's is an original piece. What JZGR meant was that there never was a Black Godbomber. If one was ever issued, it's a fake/K.O. unless TomyTakara actually issues one.
