That's really awesome, but I would not want that to be the future of all Transformers. Rather, a separate "class" dedicated to this kind of Transformers gimmick.

With just Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, otherwise it will never sell.

I fixed our YouTube embed code.
It's cool and all, but not something I would really want for the TF brand. I'm not even a fan of the various incarnations of "automorph". I get most of my enjoyment from actually transforming the figures. Very awesome for what it is though.

Very cool. Since you lose the ability to transform it yourself, it would be cool if it came as a kit you could assemble yourself.

It wouldn't hold my attention for long. I'd rather transform it myself and pose it myself. Perhaps it if had really great poseability by remote control I might be interested, but it'd be way too expensive to justify the cost.

I've seen things like this a few years ago thanks to a friend at work who sent me links from robot conventions. But I agree with the others. These things are neat for a minute or two, then boring as hell. That's why electronic gimmicks in Transformers never appealed to me, and it's why despite a few nutty speculators insisting the iPad and the Leapfrog and whatever other nifty gadgets some adult came up with will make Hasbro and Mattel obselete, electronic toys will never replace mechanical ones, because kids need to use their imagination, and they'll be bored by anything that does all the work for them.
All that aside, something like this on a larger scale with some advancements in technology could make a much better movie bot than the crap that the current movies feature. Imagine Ravage done by the guys that made the Cheetah.

For sale: My entire Transformers and third-party collection. Includes Masterpiece, Generations, Universe, Movie, Prime, Armada/Energon/Cybertron, G1, G2, a few Japanese imports, etc. Many never opened, the rest displayed in enclosed display cases to keep the dust off. A few ads on Craigslist/OfferUp for DC/MD/VA locals, will post on boards or ebay when I have time.

Seriously? No-one would take that seriously in a film. I was impressed until I noticed that Cheetah is, in fact, cheating. It's held up by an arm!
