Check out this Jetfire I just snatched at goodwill, has his gun too, I swear some 8 year old brat was about to grab him, he would have been broken into pieces! One question does anyone know why he is stamped Bandai and not Hasbro/Takara?

Guess I can't complain too much though since I found a great peasant dress there the other day, for only $5 too. The thing would have cost like $100 at a Renn Faire O.o

As for the Bandai / HasbroTakara thing, that's because the mold itself was copyrighted by Bandai. It's a Macross Valkyrie (Robotech Veritech for most Americans), and was liscensed as Jetfire, not ooutright purchased.

Wow, awesome find! Normally I wouldn't approve of snaking things from 8 year olds...but I think I'll make an exception for this gem! I would love to have one of those, that mold is simply spectacular, a masterpiece of engineering, especially when you consider the toys it sat besides on shelves!

nice find. awhile ago i found a huge plastic bag full of transformers and parts and when i got home i had to put together the transformers and i ended up with 5 complete transformers with some scrap parts. one of them i gave to my fiancee because i already had it. it was animated bumblebee.

Congratulations on the find, it is awesome. However, your comment about the kid makes this 30 year old cry.

No kid would appreciate this as much as an adult collector. Buy him a cyberverse that he can break and lose.

I, personally, find that rather rude. For most kids, you'd be right, but when I was a kid I took good care of my stuff. That's why I still have all of my transformers and power ranger stuff in solid condition, beyond the ones I played with so much they wore of course; and even those are still in good condition, just loose joints.

The sentimental value for an adult collector would be a lot bigger indeed, I'm not debating who Jetfire would find better housing with. It's the attitude towards an 8-year old which makes this a sad thing, IMO.
