Soundwave is looking better and better every time I see new scans of him. Best $160 ever spent. It looks like we are getting the empty energon cube and changeable chest with the grid. Epic masterpiece. :KREMZEEK:

oh crap, I've just seen the one thing i don't like about MP Soundwave..

the shoulder launcher weapon does not rest on his shoulder when deployed, it's mounted way high on the thingy that makes it rotate forward from his back!

Oh well... I am happy to be getting their 25th Anniversary "Encore" version of Fortress Maximus.

Honestly, I am no longer surprised. The upside is that those who wanted this version now have another chance. That, and it allows Hasbro-based Generation 2 fans to add this piece to their collection.

And also, as much as I like the packaging, I would have preferred the original Bruticus with G-2 colors. So I shall join you with a :roll:

Is it safe to say that the empty energon cube gimmick is no longer an amazon exclusive?

Pretty much sold on GTR OP and his race queen. Gonna be pretty expensive, though.

That is the button for the chest gimmick to release the next tape from storage, he can store 3 cassettes.
The image in number four are the plans for the spaceship from More Than Meets The Eye

Quite honestly... Looking at the image of Saber, I have two things to say:

1) The face scares me.

2) They missed the ball by not having Ultra Magnus represent that team. Because based on the shade of blue used, I personally feel that it best suits his Diaclone color scheme.

As much as I dislike the Alternity line, the quality is so much better than the recent Masterpiece cars....No hollow legs, real rubber tires, better paint application, etc

Honestly, I am with you. I loved the Convoy Corp. portion of the Alternity line because those cars are smexy. But I would never pose them on account that they have their own issues. However, I am super tempted to get Optimus (which is rare)... But decided to hold out for Fortress. His team is one I started liking.

Oh! And atop of happy new years from California... If they end up putting him out by the time I finally get married, can use what you have said as an excuse to get Fortress?

I got the white Alternity already, don't make me spend on another UM repaint, lol. Otherwise, I agree with you. That colors would've been perfect as Movie Preview/Diaclone UMagnus. TTomy is saving me some money by releasing as SS. Even with a different head, I just couldn't picture it as Star Saber.

Starting to like the team Fortress represents, and starting to think that he will become my favorite within the line. Then again, I already like the team he is supposed to represent.

Same here! I ended up getting "Ultla Magnus" some time after getting "Dai Atras." (Gotta love their occasional "Engrish." :lol:

) But yeah... The whole thing is a total miss for me as well. If it was Magnus, I would be on it since he would be an interesting piece. But with it being Saber, yeah... My money is going towards my current stuff getting graded. :-B

It should be a spring loaded mechanism which pushes the tapes forward, so they should stay in place when there are less than three.
