Help with MP-10

So I got MP-10 when it first came out here in America, and yesterday the pin hinge on the side leg flap has snapped slightly. Is there anyway to fix this? Or is the best policy to simply leave the leg flap covering the wheels? Pics attached to show what I mean. I have currently placed super glue on the fractured seem. I doubt it will work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

That's a pretty stressed part, glue won't work. On the plus side, it should not get any worse- the part cracked to relieve the stress. I think as long as you're careful with it you should be ok. HTH.

If you're incredibly careful with it you may be able to transform it repeatedly without damaging the other side but you'd be best not moving it. Any pull on the pin away from the broken area will stress the other side of the joint.

Try any hardware store for a small gauged wire. Bring a sample for comparison. I hope this helps.

Re: Help with MP-10
High everyone, I just recently bought a hasbro MP-10 and I have a problem and a few questions I was wondering if you could help me with:
I can't for the life of me get that matrix in there, close the flaps, and then close the chest hinges. It always sticks out enough that it will cause the chest not to close properly. Something about the matrix doesn't fit right? Has anyone else had this problem?
I have tried everything... putting the matrix in different ways and what not, it just doesn't close right?
Also, since I tried to squeeze the chest shut, I chipped some of the chrome paint of the vehicle bumper under his chest. What would be the perfect chrome paint to touch that up??? I saw somewhere someone said Tamiya Chrome, but I wanted to know if it was a perfect match?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I know you said you tried fitting it in different ways, but I had that same problem before realizing I'd placed it upside down. Flipped it over, and it went in, no problem.
As for Tamiya Chrome, the best any kind of silver paint will give you is a "brushed metal effect", meaning there won't a mirror finish like the kind you'll find on chrome plating of aluminum.
Metalizers like Alclad II is your only option if you want a chrome-like finish. You'll need an airbrush to apply it, though; these won't work when hand-brushed.

Re: Help with MP-10
Thanks for the info!
...I'm pretty sure I'm putting the matrix in right (curved edge on the bottom, with the 2 lip edges on top), it goes in and stays, it just isn't flush with the compartment. So when the 2 flaps go down it sticks out just enough that it affects the chest hinges when you finally close it.
It seems like something needs to be sanded down?
For the Mirror Chrome touch up, I think I will be doing it with a brush. I don't own an air-spray device. Alclad definitely can't be used with a brush?

Sadly, that's the only way to go about it.
