TF Packages
I usually keep the cards and packages from almost any TF I buy. I'll admit I may be a hoarder. I used to keep these for the profiles and specs however now those can be found on the internet on such sites as tfu.info. So my question is should I throw packages away? Naturally I'm keeping older packages from G1 or their knockoffs. But I don't know if I should keep packages from lines such as Classics.
What do you think?

I keep the GEEWUNS and GEETOOS and ditch the rest. There are some exceptions, like BWN Magmatron, Binaltech and E-hobby stuff.

Re: TF Packages
For Deluxes (or smaller) I cut the plastic bubble off and keep the cardbacks in a file drawer.
For Voyagers and larger, I've kept a lot of boxes, but now I'm thinking about tossing most of them and only keeping the boxes for special figures. I'd love to keep them all, but it's just not realistic.

Ditto. I do the same with the deluxe's and keep the back and specs off the voyagers boxes however, but only keep a select few boxes

I keep the backing on anything deluxe and smaller in old file boxes. The only exception being G1 & 2 ; I keep the lot.

I might keep the backs of my Voyager boxes when I toss them, but only if they fit in a standard file drawer.
I might keep my Classics-Universe 2.0 boxes intact because they have cool artwork on the sides and they look great lined up next to each other on a shelf.

I toss everything with the exception of Collector-grade boxes and some of the rare Japanese boxes, but those are few and far between.

Re: TF Packages
I toss most everything. Kept the cardback of FoC Shockwave because I thought it was really cool, and the Kre-O boxes are incredibly handy for storing spare bricks, but everything else is trashed. They take up too much room and if I want to see the art or whatever there are typically some great shots online somewhere.

Re: TF Packages
I generally keep the back cards for the deluxes and throw away the bubbles.
Voyagers.... I was throwing the boxes out for a while. Some of them I've kept, but I've flattened down by throwing out the bubbles. I only have a very small handful of voyager boxes that are fully intact.
Leader and Ultimate class boxes I always keep fully intact (makes storing them much easier).

I keep the cards (throw away the bubble) and flat-pack the boxes (throw away the inside parts), but I have an attic to keep them all in.
For more expensive figures like MPs I keep the box intact.

It's your call really. But one day, reality will strike and you will have no choices but to trash a few. After all, space is not infinite.

This is an old picture. Pretty soon, I'll have to trash some more.

I keep Deluxe and smaller cardbacks, and the boxes for anything Takara MP or eHobby or reissue stuff. A bunch of eHobby/G1 reissues have never even made it out of the boxes yet, so obviously I've not thrown those boxes out.
As mundane a part of the fandom as this topic is, I always find what other collectors do with boxes fascinating, for reasons unknown.

I guess I'm the only that keeps everything bubble and all....
But I must admit its time to do something about them. My main problem is I usually and routinely upgrade figures, like RTS tracks (united), classics ironhide and ratchet (Henkei), Classics Astrotrain (Henkei), United Megatron (Hegemon), RTS Hot Rod (united), FOC Ultra Magnus (Takara version), ect.
When I do replace figures I no longer want what I had so I would sell them (in my mind) I always thought it was more desirable to sell unwanted figures on card then lose. although in reality it probably doesn't make a difference. I guess that's whats keeping me from trashing all my packaging. I'm always on the lookout for an updated or better version of a figure I already have.

No, garbage bags full of packages in my basement will attest that I keep it all (RiD to present anyway, back in the 80's my mom cut off all the bubbles and threw them out and took out the trays/flattened the boxes of my G1's)

I havent gotten to the point where im drowning in packaging, but so far I've kept boxes for Voyagers on up, deluxe, cyberverse ect is tossed.
I will probably end up keeping 3rd party boxes, MP packaging, and G1 commemorative/Encore stuff and bin the rest.
