Voyager Springer cockpit

Hey peeps!

SO I got my Voyager Springer from Amazon today (they're not available in Australia apparently). I've noticed an issue in regard to the transformation. When I go to transform him to helicopter mode the chest piece that flips up over his head doesn't slot in properly with his yellow back piece. This then means the cockpit canopy can't clip into place and stay put and there are huge gaps all over the place. I think there may be an issue with a grey tab from the section that holds his head and shoulders on that connects/slots into the yellow back section (just behind his head in robot mode).

Here's a pic of the transformation:

Anyone else had this issue? ANyone know of a fix for it?

Cheers!

Yeah it doesn't tab in properly for me either. Both Springer and Blitzwing had a lot of problems with tabs staying together....

I think my guy didn't have his plastic ends filed off before having his chest screwed together and I've also noticed that his chest is a bit lop-sided with one side protruding a little further out than the other. I'm loathe to pull it apart and file it down myself but I don't think I'll have any other option because I can't actually transform him effectively. Bit of a quality control issue methinks and a bit of a pain in the butt seeing as how I had to import him from the States. :-/

Figured out the problem. There's a problem with the little green shoulder joint that connects the arm to the main body. They're both left-hand pieces and the one on the right is a left-hand one turned around which means it doesn't fit properly.

How are Amazon (or Hasbro?) in regards to returns of this nature? I mean, it's not something I can repair myself and it pretty much makes it's whole gimmick pointless because it doesn't transform properly. Anyone else had this sort of issue?

I was going to say that mine doesn't fit together super tightly, but it's also not as bad as your's. But it sounds like you found the problem.

Give Amazon a call. I've always had good experiences with their customer service.

if you tilt his head so he is looking down, then swing the chest piece up it(the chest piece) shouldn't get caught on the head's pointy bits. The head should be able to fold into the hole in the gray part of his body afterwards.
Primus apotheosis is my new favorite thing.

The only real issue I've had with my Springer was that the right arm was a little looser than I wanted it to, and that the "butt-flap" just sits on top of his legs instead of tabbing in properly for helicopter mode, but that's about it.

Like GuyIncognito said, shoot Amazon Customer Service a call. I'm sure they'll send you a replacement.
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!
