My Hasbro mp Grimlock for someones Hasbro MP Soundwave with all his monions. Good deal or not?
Both are open and in mint condition.

I would say not. Loose Masterpiece Grimlocks are selling in the low 200s while Soundwave is still in the mid 100s. However this all just depends on how bad you want Soundwave.

That's tough to consider. I suppose only if you like Soundwave and his minions more than Grimlock. If you can save up and purchase Soundwave in the near future then I would aim to do that seeing as how MP Grimlock is steeper in price and harder to find than Soundwave at the moment. My habits for collecting MPs revolve around character favorites, availability, pricing, and whether or not a character will see a domestic release which coinicedes w pricing. Hope that helps some.

I would see if you can find Soundwave at TRU before you make that deal. You aren't going to find Grimlock at retail. You might still find Soundwave.

If you honestly love Soundwave and Co., and could care less about Grimlock and won't miss him... go for it. But if you have any love for Grimlock, then dear God, no! Sounwave is theoretically still findable in stores with luck, and worst case scenario you can probably find him on the second hand market for cheaper then what Grimlock goes for.

It really depends on what would make you happier to have in your collection.

Loose Grimlocks are going for 250-275$
While MISB MP-02 Soundwaves are selling for $150.

Not a good trade for you, but a good one for the other guy.

My initial reaction was "yes, that's a great swap for the person getting Soundwave and minions!" Soundwave alone is so much better than Grimlock!

Do you care that Grimlock currently sells for a lot more? If so, do you care that Soundwave may also retail for the same inflated price in the near future?
