I emailed the news crew with this story over an hour ago, but it looks like Matt must have emailed them earlier than I did!

Snagged mine. I figure that this is an unbeatable price....correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the individual Predacons were around $15 in 1986. Today, they would cost around $100 brand new, in 2013 money. This sale is like getting them half off in the 80s!

That is insane! One of the few times I wish I didn't have the Takara version only so I could take advantage of such a good deal. Oh well, I've been enjoying mine for a couple years now so I've had my money's worth.

Awesome news for anyone looking to get this still and I highly recommend it to those on the fence.

I was thinking the same thing ... until I found out Predaking comes with an extra sword. A goldish/brown colored version of Beast Hunters Optimus Prime's sword comes with this set. That was all I needed to know to sell me on this set. I just found out a few weeks ago that it came with this. Glad I waited for once to get a figure.

I was waiting for this kind of deal for this toy. Jumped on it last night. Can't wait to get it, $50 for a G1 Predaking is unfathomably cheap, I mean, that's gotta be less than 1980's retail. The new deco and new accessory helps too, I can put it on my ehobby/etc shelf.
