Yoda, easily.
He was ten times the man Anakin ever hoped to be.
Plus, he was a muppet, and you can never go wrong with muppets.

vader in his prime without the injuries would win. vader with his suit is supposed to be 80% as powerful as the emperor, who is a good match for yoda, and had he not been so damaged he would have ended up twice as powerful as the emperor. palpatine even told yoda that vader would become more powerful than either of them. so if vader had been allowed to reach his prime he would have. if its suited or rots vader he loses pretty hard.

Yep, and hence why the Emperor wanted to have Luke (since he'd probably become more powerful then Vader).

Re: Yoda vs. Vader
Well this would be an interesting battle but I would have to agree with unique_username.Cujo wrote:topic says it all... yoda at his prime vs. vader at his
If Vader fought this battle with out sustaining his injuries then Vader at his Prime would be far more powerfull than Yoda and would destroy Yoda with little effort.
However if we are talking about the injured Vader in his Cyborg suit then Yoda would win although with great difficulty. Even injured as he was Vader still proved to be among the most powerfull force user in the Galaxy.
God help the universe if Vader ever did reach his full force potential and was a servant to ther darkside of the force then no one would be safe and emporer Palatine would become Vader's puppet.

ahh, but you're forgetting luke, although not commonly known, is more powerful than yoda, the emperor and vader himself.
I think that in a saber fight, suit vader would lose to yoda. Using the force, suit vader would win, although crippled, he is not crippled from the force. He doesn't even need to be in the same place of another person and he could still force choke them!

Re: Yoda vs. Vader
Cacciatore although your right where Luke is concerned where he is suppose to become more powerfull than Yoda,Palatine and Vader himself. You are wrong in the sense that although immensively powerfull in the force Vader due to the loss of some of his limbs was not only physically crippled but was also crippled in the use of the force to a certain extent as although more powerfull than almost still any other force user he was still not able to achieve his maxium potential due to his injuries but you maybe right that he was still strong enough in the force that he might be able to defeat Yoda using the force.

yeah, he lost alot of his force potential. i think its the rise of vader novel that says hes like a professional piano player who lost his fingers, he knew how to do the same things as before, but he no longer had the tools to do it. he could feel the power he had but he couldnt access it anymore.
luke is supposed to have the same potential as vader would have, so currently luke would trash pretty much anyone else in the star wars universe. going by the eu stuff that is.

The ones who have posed the theoretical Probability of a uninjured Vader, seem to miss one thing, Yoda in his prime. Yoda was 18 years away from Death from Natural causes. Now I have never read any of the EU so I have no Idea about Yoda in his prime but in Clone Wars he was bringing down Drop Ships with the Force alone. The Thought Of what Yoda could accomplish in his Prime is scary. Seeing as How Obi Wan Defeated Vader in His/or close to his Prime I think this would be Easy work for Yoda in his Prime.

that is a good point, and im not sure just how good yoda was in his prime. but his ability with the force wouldnt have been a while lot better, the older he is the longer hes had to master it, when he was fighting dooku, dooku told him "i see this battle cannot be decided by our knowlege of the force..", so that indicates the more you know the better you are, so the older you are, the more you know. and look at sidious, fiarly old yet possibly the most powerful force user in the galaxy (along with yoda).
age seems to affect stamina when using the force, as dooku revealed in the ep 3 novel. anakin had freakish amounts of raw power, and dooku was old, and growing weaker every time he used it, but anakin seemed to be growing stronger. and the force seemed to be able to compensate for age to a pretty high degree when it comes to saber skill. looking at yoda summon the force in ep 2 and combat dooku was awesome, but after it was done he was spent. he went back to his normal walking speed and needed the use of his cane.
so while yoda in his prime was probably a bit faster with a saber, and could fight for probably much longer periods, i dont think hed have been that much more skilled. and although hes the most powerful jedi around, he wasnt concieved through the force. anakin, and lukes potential are greater than anyones. sidious said "lord vader will become more powerful than either of us". i dont think he was refering to them being old at the time. vader was just going to be too much for anyone to handle.

I think a main point to remember is that Luke wasn't as powerful as Vader. he was I'd say maybe 80 or 70 percent as powerful as he was. Considering that he was born from a non force sensitive mother. But that's beside the point, I think alot of heavy damage would be done to them both. The most likeliest scenario would be Yoda dealing heavy damage but in the end they would both fall.

Sure, Yoda can win this. However, I don't think that he could beat Kathleen Kennedy (Disney, in charge of Star Wars for several years). She's been busy replacing old Star Wars with girl bosses!
