Is it a generic potato and tomato, or do you have specific types in mind. also are they gm or gm free, organic or non-organic?

Well... A potato is harder than a tomato... so... the potato wins...
But, if this "battle" is about taste, then the potato wins again! (Not by much, though)
And I think everyone knows what tomatoes and potatoes look like....

Pfft, they only used tomatoes because if they had used potatoes it actually would have been scary.

Potato FTW.

But aren't tomato stains hard to get out? they could be strong bases on the PH scale too... I've heard of people allergic to tomatoes but never (though still possible) potatoes...
I like fries more than i like ketchup

Fried tomatoes are on average healthier than fried potatoes. Or at least when my mom made them.
If planted next to each other a potato would take root into the soil long before the tomato seeds would thus dominating the garden.
Potato wins

I would originally thought potato,
then got to thinking.
Potatoes, to my knowledge have never tried to
destroy the human race, tomatoes have.(Attack of the Killer Tomatoes)
TOMATO WINS.
