Okay, so, I was never too interested in Hot Shot to bother looking into getting him....so what exactly differs between Universe and Henkei Hot Shot structurally?

If it's the Henkei version, I will go from "meh" to "pee my pants with joy". The deco, especially in vehicle mode with those sweet tampographs, has really grown on me. And he will actually really nice standing next to WoH Kup.

If they do get the Henkei model, it will be instantly better. If the guns are included even more so.

I really don't know why there's hope for the Henkei version version to be used. Has TFCC ever gone into Takara's jurisdiction and used one of their molds? Regardless of whether it's Uni/Henkei HotShot, Dion is still going to be that color scheme. I don't think guns and missiles make or break a figure.

In this instance, the Henkei mold is actually genuinely better.

It has a cut-out section which allows for the guns to be exposed in vehicle mode. These cut-out portions are not only fuctional for the alt mode, but they provide just enough clearance to make the shoulders fuction much, much better.

My understanding is that Hasbro and Takara were using the same mold, then Hasbro changed it when the guns didn't fit the budget.

ugh, hate the colors and tired of hot shot repaints. i won't be renewing this year. i wish they'd do something special, like dinobots, not these bottom of the barrel characters. the seacons were interesting at least.
