I'm not forgetting about it. I'm just not counting it. Yet. A few news article tidbits and a couple of prototype pics does not a figure make. Sure, it means that plans have been made and maybe that wheels are in motion. But stuff happens. Plans could get scrapped. Delays could take place. I don't like to count a figure, especially a Masterpiece, until it actually materializes.
And honestly, you aren't really wrong in anything you said at all. The MP and MP-M lines are very different. There has been quite a bit of activity in the MP line in the last calendar year. Perhaps not the activity that I have been wanting but I suppose if there was a repaint that I just had to have (as I said I don't like repaints that don't produce different characters but for the sake of argument), I would be pretty excited if the Has/Tak gave it to me. And yes, the MP line is pretty much on a decent pace bewteen original mold Grimlock and original mode Rodimus. (Speaking of, I forgot to throw in the repaint of MP Grimlock in my previous post as well. The bluer one that costs a billion dollars) However, I just don't see the point in taking this issue so personally that it warranted the kind of reaction that you gave it. I don't really know any of the people who have previously posted but do you? Perhaps they aren't regulars to the forum. Perhaps they are just getting back into collecting or getting into it for the first time and are as educated about the different lines. What difference does it make?
And honestly why should you even care if one guy doesn't know the difference between what toy line is what and what figures come from what lines? Whats more important: I know that Drift came from the Generations line or that Drift sits on my shelf? Lines of toys often get blurred amoung collections anyway. Generations/Universe get displayed with G1 all the time. Human Alliance get displayed with regular Movie lines and so on. Who cares about any of it? The bottom line is this figure is good, this figure is garbage.
I like to live by the saying: you pick the battles worth fighting. I think you just picked the wrong battle here. You gained nothing by correcting the person and may have lost people's respect in correcting him in the manner that you did. Anyway, I've wasted enough internet space on this issue. We should perhaps all move on.
This Bumblebee looks like THE Movie BB to have....until the next movie comes out and the next IT BB comes out.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
Rodimus Prime wrote:While I think Movie Bee is a definite upgrade over ANY other Bumblebee in the TF Universe, I haven't, and will not, buy any of his toys. I came close to getting HA Bee, but thought better of it. This will not change my mind.
And yes, Dead Metal is right about this not being part of the main line. Details. His methods of "enlightenment" however, are his choices.
I also agree that the repaints of the molds such as Magnus, Nemesis Prime, and sleep mode Prime are not "new," simply repaints. Same with Thundercracker and Skywarp. "New" would qualify as Grimlock, the upcoming Rodimus ( *drool* ) and Megatron. Now, if Soundwave and Shockwave could be the next ones, I would consider Primus smiling down on us. (Me at least.)

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

This is not the main Masterpiece line, this is a brand new sub line and doesn't affect the main G1 line!
Seriously I'm sick and tiered of having to say this.
Well I'm sorry, but I didn't know this...nor have you told me this in the past. So forgive my seriously (apparently) substandard intelligence level for missing this little tidbit of information.

70's Camaro, Camaro Concept and Cannon Bumblebee would like to have a word with you
Fine, fine. And first I'd say, "70's Camaro BB, you don't even get to talk because you are an utter turd of a toy so go to the corner and shuddap before I turn you into kitbash fodder." Then I'd turn to Cannon BB and say, "Man, so close for you Cannon BB. So close. If only you came packaged with a real weapon instead of some goofy gimmick that wasn't even featured in a movie. Your eyes are so big that they kind of scare me. And while you did get two arms, your hands are utterly useless since you didn't come packaged with a weapon and even if you did, the hands you have couldn't hold it anyway. Sorry but get over into the corner with 70's Camaro BB." Finally I'd turn to Concept Camaro BB. "Looks like its just you and me, buddy. One good mold of BB out of the bunch with two good arms. Good ahead and get cozy on my shelf. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks to what Hasbro is doing with the Bumblebee character, it looks like you are going to be there a long time."
Mindmaster wrote:I'm getting tired of these rip-offs of already-released figures and naming them Masterpieces in Japan. Not cool, Takara. Not cool. Even thought they have more accurate paint schemes, you're not getting our wallets this time. Ok maybe Blurrz's, but not mine.![]()

Just messing around with you, Blurrz. Not serious.
