This looks so awesome. I must have him.

But yeah, I dont think most people (me included) liked Scourge's alt mode anyway, I still dont know what that thing is supposed to be!
He's pretty much in scale with Classics Cyclonus.
He has three points of articulation in each arm, plus perhaps the wrist swivel. He has at least four points of articulation in each leg and his wings are double hinged. The only thing he lacks is a head swivel and perhaps a waist swivel.
The die-cast placement is great in this toy. It keeps him centered and balanced.
Also, while Cyclonus got what was essentially his original alt mode, with Titanium Scourge you get the same deal and not a modified alt mode.
Why does Cyclonus get to stay the same and Scourge has to change?
1. No he isn't.
2. You already mentioned that he doesn't have a head swivel, so I wont even go there.
3. I cannot be sure about the die-cast myself, as I have never owned one, but most Titanium figures to date have had bad placement of die-cast so it would be easy to assume that it was bad on this one, whether it is or not.
4. It seems that Hasbro has decide to stick with making new alt-modes for characters who's original alt mode was rather obscure or boring (most kids prefer stealth bombers over flying boat things.)
Also what you said does not negate the reported bad quality control and weak plastic on Titanium scourge. Then again, it wouldn't matter if all you're using it for is display. Me I tend to Transform them back and forth constantly when I'm sitting at my desk.

Also, Titanium Scourge's head has a weird incongruity with the proportions of his body, IMO.

And I do believe G1 Scourge is simply a SPACE!hovercraft.
Edit:
Holy hell Generations alt-mode is very fitting!
It looks a lot like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horten_Ho_229
The granddad of all stealth bombers.
Close, according to TFWiki (read it sometime) he's loosely based on the Boeing X-48 flying wing.

I want to express how sorry I feel about using the term "CHUG" in some of my previous posts. All this time I thought that it was an acronym that just didn't sound so well, and since I live in Europe(I hope you accept that as an excuse)I wasn't aware that this is a racist expression towards Native Americans. When I first read LOST Cybertronian's post,I thought it was some kind of a bad joke. But,later I decided to google it and I realized he was right...I want to crearely state that I am against any kind of racism and I sincerely apologise if anyone was offended by my posts.

Funny thing is, I have a small part of Cherokee in me.

I think this version of Scourge homages both his Wings of Honor version and the original figure. But I have to agree with Dead Metal on having Scourge repainted as Cybertron Siedways. Just give 'em a new head and that sword/shield-thing and he would look just like Sideways!

The only reason the line name gets changed is due to retailers needing new product.

Essentially what I said, but the way Wal Mart sees it is that a new name is a new product.

Half the time I've seen the term "CHUG" used anywhere online, it's used wrong anyway. Usually in reference to a lack of a CHUG Thundercracker or Henkei is better than anything put out in CHUG or other such nonsense. It's a crap term and most of the people using it don't seem to realize that it encompasses the Henkei line. Others seem to think that 3rd Party stuff falls under it as well.

Really? All I've ever heard it used for is downing a drink really fast, ie "chug a beer".
Saying you can't use it for a TF acronym because of some fairly obscure slur just seems kinda weird. Like saying you can't talk about "chink in the armor" because that's got a word in it that's also used as a slur.
As for Scourge, all I can say is I hope I actually see him on shelves someday. I've all but given up on Dirge and Blurr.

Indeed. I just seems more and more often these days we're finding random words we used all the time when we were kids being abused like this.
When I was little, I identified CHUG as onomatopoeia for a train noise. Heck, Wiktionary identifies it as just that. Though yes it is used as some kind abbreviation for certain hybrid dogs (apparently), it really depends on what context you use it in. Anyone could call another person a dog, but if they happen to use an abbreviation for a certain type of dog, suddenly what once was a harmless drinking noise has now become a racist slur.
In short, the word itself really shouldn't offend anyone, but how it's used could.

The dog thing was just me making a joke, sorry I wasn't clear on that. The slur has to do with the disproportionately high prevalence of alcoholism among Native Americans communities, and the resulting stereotypes of Native Americans as frequent consumers/abusers of alcohol. Although I had never heard the term acutally used by another human being.

Regardless my point still stands. In fact the word CHUG used as a racist slur holds even less grounds in this case, as specific as the meaning of it is meant to be to the person using the word, especially considering the word chug in that sense is meant to be a verb. Now if they were to call a person a chug-er, or a chugging *insert insult* it would make sense, but the word chug alone should mean nothing.
We would just be gratifying the illiterate goofballs who came up with this if we continued treating it as a racist slur, rather than what it's meant to mean. I'm laughing even more now knowing that is what it's meant to mean to them.

*fixed*

I personally don't care beyond the fact that "CHUG" is a stupid sounding term regardless of the meaning behind it. As CP stated, Classics is the best and most appropriate name to use, since all the latter lines are really just extensions of the Classics line anyway.

I'm a little late to the party, but why is "Henkei" even included in this questionable acronym? It's redundant. Why not tack on another "U" at the end for Transformers "United" at this point?

It looks pretty good. I never liked the "space boat" much. I just wish he had a bit more paint, especially on the wings. They look quite plain. The blue from the front looks like it should continue on the front edge of the wings. Hopefully it'll be more painted on the final release, but I highly doubt it.

I own Titanium Scourge... and I'm less than impressed with him. The sockets come loose. the wings make him a but back heavy and all the transformation really is is unfolding the wings and adjusting the legs. Also, no weapon. And no neck joint.
I've never given a damn about scale, so that doesn't matter to me either. Bring on Generations Scourge!

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

You were right to point that out, I was tired when I wrote that. Normally, even when I'm tired I can catch that stuff like that due to my browsers built in spell-checker, but apparently it considers that to be a real word.
Funnily enough, it's considered to be a term used by the illiterate.
