New scanned images from the January 2011 issue of Hyper Hobby magazine have been posted to Thai fan site Modxtoy.com and mirrored at the UK's Transformers at the Moon. The scans highlight several of Takara Tomy's upcoming Transformers releases including Animated Black Rodimus, MP Rodimus Convoy, and the United version of Straxus and Cybertron Megatron. We also get a look at the very shiny, very heavily armed United Cybertron Optimus Prime, packing an arsenal of the new Micron Targetmasters derived derived from the Power Core Combiners. The Chrome does wonders for the WFC figures. Not about to mail order, but might pick em up at Botcon. Glad to see the Optimus is being re-released. I missed out on him before. Also liking Goldbug. Looks so much better without the stupid racing stripes.

Those are repaints of Power Core Combiner Mini-Cons. They're store giveaways, when buying a certain Yen amount of United product on a certain day. In order:

Fracas (Chainclaw repaint): Bic Camera and Yodobashi Camera, 3,000 Yen on December 28th
Haywire (Caliburst repaint): Yamada Denki, 3,000 Yen on December 28th
Recoil (Airlift repaint): Toys 'R Us Japan, 3,000 Yen on January 1st.
