As far as Wheeljack goes I'm a bit cautious. I saw Peaugh's online review and the one thing he pointed out was a height issue. Can anyone comment on this? It seemed like he didn't or couldn't slide his legs down for height like you would for RTS Tracks. So in the video he did seem a bit short and stumpy looking. Same goes for the pics in this topic. Could that be a QC issue or can his legs really slide down and extend? If anyone knows please give us the word on that.

I'm all "coulda" and "shoulda" when it comes to going from minibot to deluxe class like Warpath for example. Granted he looks awesome but too bad I couldn't say the same for Powerglide. I do plan on picking up Warpath but he won't be Warpath in my book because I already have him as a minibot. I just need to come up with a name for him.

Height wasn;t his only problem. Peaugh also noted that his lower legs are disproportionately wide.
After all is said and done, I'm still buying him. He's still a good fig all things considered, and one of the few [if not only] G1 accurate remakes of Wheeljack...that is, until a possible TF Prime WJ comes along.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Yes, he's short - just like Tracks because the legs don't extend. IMO it suits him to be a little short as he's the cool mr fix it guy for the Autobots and it's nice to have some height variety between figures. The legs are quite wide but again I think it suits him.
We may never get another neo G1 Wheeljack figure (look how long it's taken to get this guy) so I would snap this guy up if you get a chance regardless of inadequate height/fat legs if you're a fan of his.

Yup. He could be the only chance in a long time to come to get a G1 homage/update of Wheeljack.

Don't be too hung up on height. View their height as reformatting. These figures pay great homage in other respects.

It is possible to mod Wheeljack so he's taller anyhow. No proper guides are up yet, but I'm sure they will be soon.
It'll be a delicate job though, involves lengthening the slides inside his legs (they were shortened because otherwise the slides are visible in bot mode a little bit, but that really doesn't bother me).
Because of the way the legs are designed, you can't even just switch the slides out with a pair from a Tracks figure. Has to be modded.
