Hell yeah, a tangent of semantics... finally! I'll submit that nothing in the the history of existence and existentialism has there ever been a universal right and wrong. Everything "known as fact", from morals to eating and shitting habits, has been shaped, formed, and recorded by the survivors of natural selection. You say gravity or other words that represent its force is a universal fact on the planet Earth... someone else says its by the hands of a higher being... neither has been discredited - hence one truth cannot be said to be the correct answer. I submit our very existence is at question. :BOOM: I just blew my own mind.

On topic; off tangent. Generation 1 the best toyline ever?! I have the G1 bias too, but c'mon, son...

However what they did do was force me to use my imagination more than anything or anyone else. They also had genuine play value and thinking about it everything else, more or less, comes back to G1.

Generations are the better toys no doubt, but they're just another extension of G1 in my opinion, as is Armada and Energon to a lesser extent. I can't stand the Animated or Bay-formers toy designs.

Oh, and before everyone starts, I'm probably heavily biased by nostalgia, rightly or wrongly. I just don't have the same emotional attachment to the later TF toys as I do with my G1's, and that to me is the most important thing.

That's a very valid point. I don't feel the emotional attachment to the classics figures even though they are better figures in a lot of ways. Getting a MISB G1 reissue or Encore always feels more exciting.

I still think Classics and friends is the best Transformers line but G1 is my favourite.

I like the classics lines. But if I had to choose only one it might be Henkei. Grimlock, Hot rod, Galvatron, Megatron, Prime ... all some of my favorite characetrs all int he one line. Really liked the paint on most of them and dug the modls. Yes, even Galvy's.
