There's been no sign of the reissue Sixshot we were supposed to be getting (the only one on that leaked list that didn't get released if I'm correct), the Dinobot giftset seems to just have been a (cruel for some, hilarious for others

joke) and the rumoured G1 Ultra Magnus release hasn't happened either - surely in the 2010 line would have been the time.
What do you think? Will we get another entire line of G1 (or G2/BW) reissues like Encore or will reissues maybe move down the pecking order of releases and be only once or twice a year in the future?

i dont' understand the obsession with G1 reissues. WHy not just by the vintage ones on ebay? If you spend the time and wait patiently a nice and respectably minty version always comes up.
Not to start a fight or anything.
I'm just a nostalgic sorta guy and vintage is always my choice above and beyond a reissue.
I have a great G1 collection due to being diligent and patient.
Am i alone on this one?
Plus i'm a thrifty fella to boot (as in that ebay prices can be extravigant to say the least ) and have gotten some really great deals for the same reasons stated above.
for example i bought a beautifull Sixshot on Ebay for 20 bucks a couple years ago. I spent some time hunting and watching but i got em! I like hunting online now i guess more than going from store to store burning gas or waiting for an official release. That's the way i hunt these days and get what i want.
In my case, I used to do the exact same as you - I spent hours searching on Ebay and negotiating with sellers to get the best deal. I had some great success in getting a 100% & mint G1 Shockwave but failure when the G1 Devastator I bought was loose and wouldn't stay combined.
I gave up because I much prefer getting MISB figures, it's just not the same buzz when it's loose and has accessories missing/perhaps condition not mint etc.
When G1 toys came out I was barely in kindergarten. Although my big bro had a good collection which I could play with, I wasn't able to buy TFs myself (with birthday, christmas or saved pocket money) until well after G1 was over.
So the chance to be able to go and buy MISB G1 toys is fantastic for me, it also gives me a limit.
If I was to collect G1 toys on Ebay then I would be looking at collecting a huge number of toys that I can't justify the cash for or have the space to store.
Only collecting reissues gives me this healthy limit as I'm only buying them a few times a year and only getting MISB, 100% complete Transformers. Yes, it means missing out on some of my favourite characters who will never be reissued but financially it's the way to go and I enjoy getting the figures more as because they're spaced out through the year.
I'm not criticizing your preferred way of collecting at all by the way, Ebay (and now Crave too) give collectors a chance to get figures they would have no other way of getting so most collectors go the Ebay way.
I had a lot of fun searching Ebay but for me the reissues are a better way to go.
