Optimus has decent neck articulation, better proportions and is easier to stand up. Sentinel has narrow hips, short arms and bulky body.
They both have amazing transformations but I'm going with Optimus as I think he looks better.

Both are great. But Optimus is the better figure, for reasons stated by Mykltron.

Mykltron stole my post. (I agree)

hahaha well it seems sentinel won't be winning any popularity contest, but popularity aside, prime is indeed a marvel of toy engineering so much so, that after two years HASTAK are not able to produce a mould that can surpass it, I guess the only improvemen I would like to ask for this leader prime is waist rotation and perhaps those wheels could be transform into more compact in robot mode

I don't own Leader Prime, but I do Sentinel and his head doesn't turn much at all. And Prime from what I've seen does look like a winner.

Both are great figs, but I prefer OP. Design-wise, OP is the younger, more sophisticated knight to SP's grizzled veteran warrior.
And as Mykltron said, OP has better proportions too. SP's chest area is too large if you ask me.

Both figures are radically different from each other.
one is a truck cab,the other is a fire engine truck.
I kinda wish the didn't use so much red on sentinel prime. they should have use other colors to break up all the red. this reminds me of TM2 ultra megatron being dominated by the red color.

I would also like to add:
Optimus has more accurate colours whereas Sentinel is not the right red.
I felt the need to give Sentinel a ball joint neck. Optimus needed increased ankle articulation and increased thigh swivel. His thighs only swivel inwards due to a limiter inside which I removed. That's one point to Sentinel.
Sentinel can't hold his shield very well so I had to trim his hand hole. To balance this, Optimuses blades are a pain and had to be made detachable.
Optimus is still in the lead, although strangely enough I was more impressed with SP than OP during the first hour of play. Perhaps that's because I was disappointed with OP after the amazing poseability of 07 OP.

AM i mad for being the only 1 to prefer Sentinal?
There are still an abundance of OP's lingering around for £25, and ive never been in the slightest bit interested in getting him, but sentinal was a must from the minute i saw him.
Maybe its the fact i dont like the movieverse prime, i dunno

I love Sentinel Prime, but ROTF Leader Prime (particularly Buster Prime) is one of the best Transformers ever.

It's a form of torture in third-world countries, actually.

Keep in mind that this pic doesn't do OP any justice at all. He looks very stiff here, but he's highly poseable and stable. He's also incompletely transformed here ("collar bones" need to be put in V shape, ankle wheels need to be rotated back, calf panels need to be popped out, and wheel hubs need to folded onto his back, all of which makes him more movie accurate).

What are you talking about? The picture helped me state what I didn't feel like writing. I didn't need the picture to do Optimus Prime any justice.
P.S: Compare OP with SP yourself and see whether or not Optimus Prime is better. Sentikibble Prime loses.

You misunderstood my intent. I'm agreeing with you. I was only pointing out that OP is even MORE awesome than he is in that picture.

I see, now.

To be honest, Optimus Prime looked pretty weird on the back of the ROTF box.

To be honest, Optimus Prime looked pretty weird on the back of the ROTF box.
TF's almost NEVER look good in their box photos. They're either mistransformed or posed horribly. To be honest, ROTF OP's box pic is considered pretty good compared to those of the others, and that's only because he's such an awesome fig that you just can't make him look bad.
Conversely, the Takara exclusives tend to have far better pics for their boxes. Check out the United boxes, and you'll know what I mean. Dynamically posed and complete with digitally enhanced background.
